Yep, worst draft board I've seen in a long time... feeding off scraps here.

Track Star does not apply to DL so you better make him a LB if you keep him.
I would bet on him if you decide to sell him and if he does not play a single snap on official game before (so I can switch him to French).

Hey fellas, I've been out for a while and I have a few questions...

First off, it seems the game is a bit less active these days. Is this true?

Second, who was the manager that got kicked off the game recently for running their mouth on the forums?

Third, did any major changes happen with the game engine in the last few seasons I should be aware of?

For example...It used to be that SG2 and SG4 were pretty unstoppable with the right personnel/coaches.

Also it used to be that running to the flanks was better than running up the middle.

Also passing up the middle was bad, very bad.

Also, medium/long passing was no good.

Do all these still apply?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Pretty much. There's a team that just promoted to Elite that only calls SG4 pass

- the forum is less active indeed. A couple of managers are quite agressive, provocative or too sarcastic and I believe it convinced people to stop going there. But I am not sure there are less players since you left.

- the manager was hiberno celtica. In my opinion she is mentally ill. She was convinced she had tumor and was convinced to die soon, then that she was pregnant while being transgender... in addition to share her life and delirium constantly, she wanted to make the game an exact replica of real’life With crazy suggestions. Everybody got very very tired of her until she totally lost it and started insulting Pete...

- no major change imo since you left. I still do not believe SG2 and SG4 are unstoppable. No team using this strategy won major titles recently. I am convinced a team using it and winning a game would have won it with a balanced PB too. When we win we thinks it is because we are the best, when we lose this is because of the engine.

- I always run and pass everywhere. My stats are not bad and I was one of the teams that threw the less INT last season (and I threw 2 after a major morale loss).

- medium and long passes are still a high risk. But I think I remember Buzi winning a crazy game with 3 long passes completed in the final drive against MSS a couple of seasons ago. I guess if you have a good team and you are lucky it can be useful while few seconds left on the clock.

Suprisingly another decent pick.

20y
45.6 STR Capped
39 SPE No cap
41 INT
45 TW
3* XP

I will certainly make him a strong safety if he speeds caps between 45 and 47 or a CB/OLB if caps at 48 to 50.

I had him pencilled in as a low 1st rounder, and would have snagged him if you hadn't...

I do wonder how people judge draft choices sometimes... with picks 32 and 64 I got the guys at 6 and 28 on my original list. With more than half the players on the draft board being 'sub 1.1' quality that's surprising.

So what should people go for?

On a weak board such as this, only the top 5-6 are certain to be useful... so you HAVE to gamble a little and look for potential.

A 22/23 year old with 2* exp will never be useful, even with physicals of 45+. Better picks are players under 20, 3*+ experience if possible, with at least 1 of Int/TW over 40... these are the players with potential. At least they have a *chance* or being decent.

My 2nd round pick - 19yr old, 2.5* exp (which is ok due to his age), TW/Int BOTH over 45. I got lucky, his speed (43.7) is uncapped - there's NO WAY he should ever have fallen to pick number 64. Even with the gamble on him having decent physicals.
