Introducing to my left, a man who really doesnt need an introduction. He is the lynchpin the Foxes Defence. Many call him 'Mr Silver Fox'... he even sat at his teams Draft desk in Cinncinati over the last 3 nights. How was that experience Chad?

CT - Ah man it was awesome, the owner needed my advice to help take the team forward and challenge the Corsairs this season. I was happy to help

REP - Did the two girls on your arm help also?

CT - Nah man, they just wanted a pic with the main man - they were sat on The Bungals table, they werent with me

REP - In the words of Ron Burgandy - Chad, I dont believe you.

Man, iv'e seen about 2 AI pictures for Chad, one of em' has him white and one of em' black

Maybe it would be better for the AI if I said that Chad's race is white...but idk why should I know anything

Im not sure the Cinncinati Bungals coach has a Bengal head... but here we are.

We live in a RZA world where everything and nothing is true

AC South

London Silverbacks - SDSC Ranking - 13th
Patagonia Raptors - SDSC Ranking - 22nd
Rome Centvrians - SDSC Ranking - 24th
Cinncinati Bungals - SDSC Ranking - 27th

The Cincinnati Bungals were given the proud honour of hosting this season’s Sea Devils Draft — an event famous across the league for its partying, questionable decisions, and long lasting chaos

Thankfully for the host city, the AC South might be one of the calmer divisions in the league.

At the top sit the London Silverbacks, the division’s heavyweight. With over £5 million in wages and a roster rated above 80, the Silverbacks are widely expected to secure a third consecutive division title.

The real question isn’t whether London win the South.

The real question is what happens when the playoffs arrive.

“Three straight division titles is great.
Winning a playoff game would be better.” explained Chad...

Season 63 ended in disappointment as the Silverbacks were knocked out in the Wildcard Round by the Devon Warriors, leaving them with an uncomfortable statistic: 0–2 in playoff games since joining the Sea Devils League.

For a team with this much talent, they will hope for better come Wildcard Gameday.

Behind London, things get a lot more interesting.

The Raptors, Centvrians, and Bungals are all relatively young clubs, but all three look set to become future jugganauts, setting their own legacies.

The Rome Centvrians have the most experience, having joined the league in Season 59, while the Patagonia Raptors arrived in Season 61, and the Cincinnati Bungals are the newest addition, entering in Season 63.

For the Bungals — whose owner is also, wonderfully, called Bungals and wore a Bengal head throughout the draft — simply avoiding last place would already be a respectable step forward in their early development.

The real contest may come down to the two-game series between the Raptors and Centvrians. Those matchups could ultimately decide who finishes second in the division standings.

Either way it seems unklikley the second placed team in The South will make the playoffs, so this is a season where the trio try to close the gap on The Silverbacks.

SDSC Season 64 Prediction

London Silverbacks - 11-5
Silverbacks all but guaranteed Gold

Rome Centvrians — 9-7
Rome wasnt built in a day for either Rome side it seems

Patagonia Raptors— 6-10
Number 1 team for Pass offence last season - need to improve the defence

Cinncinati Bungals— 4-12
Expecting these to build quickly, but S64 isnt their time

AC WEST

Ghost of Bautzen – SDSC Rank: 1
Wrexham Exiles – SDSC Rank: 11
Scottsdale Wolves – SDSC Rank: 31
Vadju Ga – SDSC Rank: 32

West is Best? Not this season. With the Black Knights packing their bags and heading for pastures new, the competitive depth in the division has taken a serious hit. Scottsdale and Vadju look unlikely to trouble the standings, leaving the Ghosts and the Exiles with a relatively straightforward path toward punching their tickets to playoff football.

It’s easier to track down Carmen Sandiego than it is to keep up with the Ghosts’ globetrotting these days, as they rock up in Koh Phangan for Season 64. Ranked #1 in the SDSC, they enter the year as not just division favourites, but genuine title contenders. And if you ask Chad Thurman, he’s not exactly sitting on the fence about it…

Chad Thurman Hot Take:
“Let’s stop pretending this division is competitive. Ghost of Bautzen aren’t just the best team in the AC West — they’re playing a completely different sport. If they stay healthy, 14 wins isn’t optimistic, it’s conservative. The real question isn’t whether they win the division, it’s whether anyone in the conference can actually slow them down.”

Meanwhile, Wrexham Exiles remain the only thing in Wrexham not owned by Ryan Reynolds—though rumour has it the Hollywood star is quietly a fan. StuartW continues as the sole leader, owner, and proprietor of the Exiles, steering a team that traditionally grinds opponents into dust on the ground.

However, they’ll have to adapt this season following the retirement of Trent Clawson. While the Exiles ranked 19th in passing, their defense showed some cracks last year, giving up significant yardage both through the air and on the ground—ranking 20th vs the pass and 23rd vs the rush. On paper they stack up reasonably well against the Ghosts, but much like hearing Tom Jones sing something new, it would be quite unusual if the Exiles actually bested them this season.

Prediction

Ghosts of Bautzen – 14–2
Even Peter Venkman wouldn’t be able to bust this Ghost.

Wrexham Exiles – 10–6
A strong team that should comfortably return to the playoffs.

Vadju Ga – 2–14
Hopefully they stick around long enough to build something.

Scottsdale Wolves – 0–16
BOT.

NC EAST

Yorkshire Sea Owls - SDSC Rank - 8th
Krakow Conquerors - SDSC Rank - 9th
Copenhagen Chargers - SDSC Rank - 25th
Downriver Seals - SDSC Rank - 26th

The NC East is one of the league’s most familiar-looking divisions. While teams elsewhere have come and gone, this quartet has been locked together for several seasons now, building one of the more quietly entertaining rivalries in the league.

Yorkshire Sea-Owls and Krakow Conquerors might once have been better known as Sheffield Wednesday and the North Sea Jarls, but despite the name changes the story has remained the same: two long-time rivals battling it out for supremacy in the East. Alongside them, Copenhagen Chargers and Downriver Seals have rounded out the division for the past five seasons, creating a rare stretch of stability.

For a while it looked like a genuine three-way fight at the top. The Owls, Conquerors, and Chargers traded blows and built the foundations of a proper divisional rivalry. However, financial issues forced Copenhagen to step back and shed talent, halting their momentum just as things were getting interesting.

Now, though, there are early signs of life in Denmark again. Wages have climbed back above £1m, and the team rating has crept into the 60s. If the rebuild continues at this pace, a competitive Chargers team could quickly become a major headache for the two teams who have largely had the division to themselves in recent seasons.

Chad Thurman Hot Take:

“Everyone’s talking about Krakow and Yorkshire like the Chargers don’t exist. Yeah, Copenhagen had to tear things down, but rebuilds don’t stay quiet forever. The minute their wage bill crept back over a million you should’ve started paying attention. If the Chargers hit on a couple of key pieces this season, they’re the team that could blow the whole NC East race wide open

And let’s be honest about the Owls — when you let veteran leadership walk out the door, you don’t just lose talent, you lose identity. Krakow deserved the title last season, but if Yorkshire slip even a little, this might not be a two-team race anymore.”

Last year marked a historic turning point for Krakow. After ten straight defeats to Yorkshire, the Conquerors finally broke the curse with their first victory over the Owls in 11 attempts. That breakthrough opened the door to a relatively comfortable division title and ended Yorkshire’s two-season grip on the crown.

Heading into Season 64, the balance appears to be shifting further. Yorkshire have parted ways with a number of older, experienced players, signalling a transitional phase. Meanwhile Krakow’s roster looks even stronger than the one that lifted the title last season, suggesting the new era in the East might just be beginning.

As for the Downriver Seals, they’ve often been cast as the division’s supporting act. That said, their wage bill has now climbed past £2m, which could indicate the talent gap between them and the top two is slowly beginning to close. Whether that translates to wins on the field remains to be seen, but they may no longer be the easy matchup they once were.

For me, the momentum is clear: Krakow look set to make it back-to-back titles in the East.

Prediction

Krakow Conquerors – 12–4
The Conquerors of Krakow—now with a North Sea Bergen twist—look primed to deliver in the East once again.

Yorkshire Sea Owls – 10–6
A defense that was excellent in Season 63 has lost a fair amount of talent. Still competitive, but likely playing catch-up.

Copenhagen Chargers – 5–11
The rebuild may be starting to accelerate. One to keep an eye on.

Downriver Seals – 4–12
Slow burners—but perhaps finally inching toward competitiveness.

NC NORTH

St Pauli Packers - SDSC Rank - 4th
Hamburg Sealions - SDSC Rank - 6th
Seattle Sea Repaers - SDSC Ranks - 15th
Cocunuts - SDSC Rank - 29th

What a rivalry is brewing in the North. Hamburg vs St Pauli has all the ingredients of a classic: two German powerhouses, passionate managers, stacked rosters, and plenty of noise both on and off the field. If things continue on this trajectory, this matchup could develop into one of the greatest rivalries the league has seen.

The only thing that might spoil it? One of them leaving for the Elite League.

And that possibility is very real.

These are two of the strongest teams in Sea Devil right now, and the biggest concern for the rest of the division—and arguably the league—is that one, or even both, could eventually move up. While that might make things a little quieter around here, anyone who’s played long enough knows that losing personalities and rivalries in an online league is never a good thing.

Let’s start with St Pauli Packers, who currently boast the largest wage bill in all of RZA. It’s a staggering collection of talent, and the obvious question is how long they can maintain such an eye-watering payroll. Are they hemorrhaging cash behind the scenes? Can the finances hold long enough for the investment to pay off?

Because the roster is loaded. The real question now is whether the coaching staff can find the playbook that unlocks it all and finally deliver the long-awaited title to the St Pauli faithful.

Standing in their way are the Hamburg Sealions, the team that has turned the North from a one-team show into a genuine heavyweight battle. Despite being around ten years less than St Pauli, Hamburg have already spent seven seasons in the Elite League—a franchise that knows exactly what winning looks like.

Over the last two seasons, the Sealions have snatched the divisional crown right from under the Packers’ noses. However, the ultimate breakthrough has remained just out of reach. Last season ended in heartbreak with a 23–17 loss to the Social Distance Runners in the Season 63 Conference Championship.

Many around the league believe Hamburg are primed for another deep run, with some already pencilling them in for a return to the Conference Championship—potentially setting up a blockbuster clash with the Mystics.

But St Pauli won’t simply step aside.

We also shouldn’t overlook the Seattle Sea-Reapers, who quietly had a very respectable 9–7 record in Season 63, their first campaign in the Sea Devil League. They finished as the 12th best passing team in the league and have pushed their overall rating above 75, which is a strong sign of progress.

Unfortunately for them, they’ve landed in arguably the toughest division in the conference. If they want to challenge the big two, they’ll need to pull off a few surprises along the way.

And finally… the Coconuts. Brave? Bold? Slightly mad? Time will tell—but joining this division certainly raises a few eyebrows.

Chad Thurman Hot Take:

“Let me get this straight — St Pauli has the biggest wage bill in all of RZA and people still think Hamburg is the favorite? That’s like bringing a Formula 1 car to a street race and then forgetting how to drive it.

If St Pauli actually figure out how to use that roster, this division won’t even be close. But until they prove they can translate payroll into playoff wins, Hamburg remains the team that knows how to finish the job.”

Predictions

Hamburg Sealions – 15–1
A third straight division title and a legitimate shot at reaching this year’s Bowl.

St Pauli Packers – 13–3
Ranked 18th vs the pass last season. If they’ve fixed that weakness, they could easily flip the standings.

Seattle Sea-Reapers – 8–8
As a Seahawks fan I hope they prove me wrong and challenge the big two.

Coconuts – 0–16
You’d have to be coconuts to join this division.

NC SOUTH

Mystics – SDSC Rank – 3
Manta Rays – SDSC Rank – 10
Northern Storm – SDSC Rank – 14
Derbent Convicts – SDSC Rank – 19

When people talk about “Divisions of Death”, they’re usually exaggerating.

In the NC South, they’re not.

This division is absolutely stacked with talent, and no team illustrates that better than the Northern Storm, who seem destined to finish third year after year despite being strong enough to win several other divisions outright.

Then you add the Derbent Convicts, a legitimately dangerous team in their own right. Season after season they find themselves finishing fourth—not because they’re weak, but because they’re surrounded by heavyweights. In most divisions they’d be a playoff contender.

And now, the Mystics are back.

One of the most successful Sea Devil franchises ever—particularly when it comes to regular season dominance—the Mystics return to a division that may not be quite as forgiving as the one they remember. The Sea Devil landscape has changed, and the NC South might be the toughest welcome back imaginable.

The Manta Rays have quietly built one of the league’s most impressive rosters. They’re currently spending £5.8m on wages, roughly £1.4m more than the Mystics, and they’re coming off a superb 13–3 season. Their passing offense was one of the league’s most dangerous units.

But there was one glaring weakness: pass defense.

Ranking 30th out of 32 teams, it proved to be their Achilles’ heel. When the playoffs arrived and they faced the Canadian Air Force passing attack of the Corsairs, the script played out exactly as expected—a Wildcard Round exit. If the Rays can patch that defensive hole, they could become one of the most dangerous teams in the entire conference.

The Northern Storm meanwhile simply want to compete—and they’re paying heavily to do so. With a £7.3m wage bill, they will enter the season with the largest payroll in the division. Unfortunately, that financial investment hasn’t fully translated into results on the field. Despite the spending, their roster rating still trails both the Mystics and the Rays.

Unless something changes dramatically, the Storm may once again find themselves as the unfortunate third powerhouse trapped in the league’s toughest neighborhood.

Finally, there are the Derbent Convicts, the division’s potential disruptors. With an experienced owner steering the ship, Derbent continues to quietly improve. Their roster is pushing toward a 70 rating, and their £6.1m wage bill shows they’re serious about closing the gap.

If things break the right way, the Convicts could very well become this season’s surprise package.

Chad Thurman Hot Take:

“Everyone keeps calling the NC South the ‘division of death,’ but let’s be honest — it’s really the Mystics Invitational until someone proves otherwise.

Yes, the Rays have the offense. Yes, Storm have the payroll. Yes, the Convicts are improving. But the Mystics have something the others still don’t: a habit of winning games they have no business losing.

Until someone knocks them off over a full season, this division still runs through the Mystics.”

Prediction

Mystics – 15–1
They barely lose games. A 16–0 run isn’t impossible. Many already have a Sealions vs Mystics showdown pencilled in.

Manta Rays – 14–2
A friendly schedule could keep them right on the Mystics’ heels. If they solve the pass defense puzzle, they could still steal the division.

Northern Storm – 9–7
A talented roster fighting against a vicious divisional tide.

Derbent Convicts – 6–10
Better than their record may suggest—and capable of spoiling someone’s season.
