The top teams in each division of Galaxy 1 are as follows, with two of the divisions getting closer after this weeks games with win/loss results causing the top team to be caught by the next lower team(s):
Where only one team is listed, it is dominant in the division. Far in the opposite corner is the NC West with a 3 way tie at this point in the season - exciting stuff. Considering those teams win rates against all teams and against just the better teams (so that list) we have the following. The big difference here is seeing who can hold their own against the top teams, and who can only beat the BOT at this point in their career as Team Owner:

I'll have some more analysis later this week once I've looked at those games between these top teams in more detail.
When I say about only beating the BOT teams, 6 of those owners have had a tea less than a year, 2 for 1 year, and 2 for 2 years - it takes time to build up a team and get a playbook that works and if there is a monster in your division that doesn't help at all ! Later in the career, you face retirements and if you are caught out (as I have bene the last two years) you can have a lot of one position retiring at once which makes things very difficult. |

I've been looking at those top teams that I listed earlier and the games that they have played against each other (so excluding games versus every other team, human or BOT).
My top 5 in order are: Bretzfield Bandits Rockford River Rats Dumpster Fire Rangers SFniner08 You might well ask why Dumpster fire is no.3 and SFniner08 is no.5 when they are 100% and Rats and Rangers are not. Well, SFniner08 has only beaten the worst of these teams so them may be better than 5, but they have had no chance to prove it. The Bandits on the other hand have beaten two of the top teams (Rats and Rangers) and two mid teams. Rats lost to Bandits, went 1:1 with Rangers and beat 2 mid teams. Rangers lost to Bandits, went 1:1 with Rangers and beat 3 mid teams. Maybe that should put them above Rats, but that's the order I have them in given I allow for the winning % of the team being beaten. Dumpster are again not beating top teams, though higher ranked teams than SFniner08. |

My mid rankers based on this assessment are:
Fighting Frankonian Poruba Jeremies Louisville Redbirds Malvern Terriers Wolves Now there are some interesting things going on here. The Jeremies are holding about even on yards and TD per game whereas the Frankonian, Redbirds and Wolves are on average losing around 100yds per game. It just depends upon how badly these teams loses when when they lose and for those teams it's very down when it's down and just a bit up when it's up. That said, young teams change their playbooks as they learn so you expect things to change and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and both teams get a say. |
