Nope, nothing to do with Football or RZA , but just a general question ...
Can any of you remember "Modern Talking" ? and if you rememeber them (so You know what I'm talking about) .... what was the general reaction to Modern Talking in Germany ??? The reason I ask .... I remember a time when if you walked past any disco/night club in the Greek Islands or Spain/Majorca/Ibiza/Lanzarote etc ... you would ALWAYS hear a "Europop" record blasting out over the loudspeakers ...and it would usually be Modern Talking. I'm interested to know what the general opinion of them in Germany was because I remember that in the UK they were virtually unknown, and I'm sure that in the USA they were totally unknown. |

It was/is "Love it or Hate it". For myself I believe the music sucks, and Bohlen and Anders are suckers. Never liked their stuff. But that's me...

Not as bad as the Goombay Dance Band though.
I've never forgiven Germany for them. |

I seem to remember this was from a couple of German Trance producers too ..... also , wasn't "Boney M" more-or-less made in Germany
p.s. - don't get the wrong idea, I'm not intentionally hating upon Germany !! p.p.s - There are some tracks by Scorpions that I really like (Coming Home, Send Me an Angel etc) |

The guys there are mostly drunken and the "songs" of modern talking sounds all similar and you can still sing (bawl) them when you are drunken. There are much more such songs/singers they are only successful on this islands with their german songs. They called "Ballermann-Hits" or in winter "Aprés Ski-Hits". Mostly for drunken people on partys or beer-tents. I can´t explain why. If the guys not drunken they mosty hate the songs^^ |
