Man, again some upsets this weekend, but the leading teams just don't fall.
If you are a fan of those, sure, that is a good thing, but if you like to see some more excitement and uncertainties, well, then this is just boring.
I like it if teams don't look unbeatable.
Right now it looks like the winner of Alabama vs Georgia SEC Championship game will win the national championship, since these two teams do so far play the most dominant games.
It even seems to be that Alabama will wipe out Georgia.

The good new is, sometimes it only needs small changes or events and the teams are beatable.

Penn State did look like the clear BIG10 favorite, now they are on the backseat and will have a hard time winning the division.
With a few more games to play, the BIG10 looks open, at least the Michigan-Ohio State-MSU-Penn State division.
The other is simply the Wisconsin division.

Oklahoma State had it all set for a BIG12 championship and then they lose to instate-rival Oklahoma, again at home.
Who knows who will win now the BIG12, likely the Sooners, but there are also a few games left and the BIG12 will have a championship game this season, so who ever secures #1 spot will still have a rematch with #2.

The ACC is almost a done deal with Clemson facing Miami, if not some very strange things happening.

The PAC12 is right now a train running into the Washington vs USC destination. But with the Apple-Cup and the Battle-for-LA still on the schedule, there is still some room for changes on the divisions top spots.

All other conferences are also closing in on division or conference champions, with no clear favorite so far, except UCF, which is unbeaten so far and will likely find their destiny part 1 in the USF game and destiny part 2 in the American championship game.
If they manage to do that they will very likely NOT get a playoff spot, but at least a high profile bowl spot to show the world, whether they would have been a playoff worth contender or not.
It will be interesting to see, whether Scott Frost will coach that game or not, he is one of the hottest names right now on the market and with som many high profile schools looking for a new HC, it would only depend on Frosts willingness to leave UCF to get a new, better paid, job, since I think he will get offers. Lots of them.
Nebraskas AD did already state his interest by praising former Husker Frost.

#5 Oklahoma @ #11 Oklahoma State
A game with 114 points is not a defense battle, right?
This game was a shootout and an open game through out all 4 quarters, but the Cowboys were more or less always in catch-up-mode.
At the end they were not able to stop the Sooners good enough to turn the game and did by that gave their title dreams a huge blow.
For both teams the season is not over, since the BIG12 does field a championship game, but OSU needs to win the remaining games to stay in the hunt.
Oklahoma has a win advantage and is right now prime suspect to end at #1.

At the end did Clemson win by a score, but it was an open game until the end.
Clemson was not dominant as a Tigers fan might have wanted it, but at the end it was clear that the Wolfpack will not win this.
The Tigers have basically secured the division title already (but still have to play against FSU) and then they need to win the rivalry game against South Carolina to stay in playoff hunt mode.
After that it looks like they will face Miami for the ACC title.
NC States chances to win the division are over, thanks to the direct compare.
They still can improve their profile and might get a better payed bowl spot.

The Miami defense is really good this season and did almost shut down the Hokies offense in total.
It will be interesting to see how Miami will play against Notre Dame and Clemson.
If they win both games (and all other remaining games), they will get a playoff spot.
If they lose against Notre Dame and win the ACC, it will become a close race.
Virginia Tech can dream of the future and play for a big bowl.

Close one.
Cougars did win here 24-21 in the 4th quarter and did keep their hopes alive regarding division title race.
They are 1 win behind Washington and with the Apple Cup looming, the Cougars still have a chance.
Stanford has only 1 chance, win against Washington next week and hope for a Cougars win against Washington also and hope for a Cougars loss against Utah next week.

Alabama did win 24-10 which is not the margin the fans did expect, but still a win against that rival.
Alabama will have as toughest matchup left Auburn in the Iron Bowl, which might be really interesting this season.
But also the road trip to Mississippi State will be interesting and could become a trap game.
LSU can only try to improve and become a major bowl player.

Major upset this week.
A Thunderstorm delay of 3 hours did change the game and MSU did win 27-24.
The result is, that MSU is in the driver seat to win the division, while Penn State is almost eliminated.
Overall this is a disaster for the BIG10, their playoff chances are slim now.
Best chances will like have Wisconsin, if they win it all.

USC did win 49-35 and is now almost through to win the PAC12 South.
The Battle of LA against UCLA will be a big challenge, but that road trip against Colorado could also be very tough.
Arizona has to hope for some dropped games by USC to still have a chance.
