The release of this video means nothing else than the #ESA finished a mission. In the 80s ESA scientists started about thinking how to explore comets. In 1992 the planning for this mission started. In 2004 an Ariane5 rocket was launched, having Rosetta on board. it took 10 years to travel more than 6 billion kms to comet 67p. There, #Rosetta said farewell to its passenger, so called lander #Philae. The little cute lander attempted to land on the surface, successful. Philae did not completely as expected, the landing itself was a little harsh. Still, the lovely small piece of technology was able to gather data, and sent them back to mission control. Now, 2 years later, Rosetta followed the little Philae, and landed on the surface of the comet. Finally, both Philae and Rosetta are together again. Rosetta sent a last picture of the comets surface back to earth, before the programming entered the last line of the source code... "exit(0)" Last statement from mission control: "We lost the signal, mission is over, good bye!" Just another example what can be done if people work together. Congrats, ESA!
