"value of a player" is nothing you could determine based on numbers. I tried several times to predict transfer money in the background, and I failed each single time. The reason is, there is no fix market. Offer and demand drive the prices up and down. A trading tool has to keep this in mind. The more I read and think about a trading tool, the less I like it.

True but with abuse mostly in mind. I have found a value for player.
That could be used to prevent abuse. Out right cheating.
I am sure if wanted to added more flex ablity. Could have moderators to review trades. That sytem kick back. But both owners want the trade to happen.

Value of the player on a trade would be look at lot differently than a tm.
As tm place value for money for players.
Trade is player vs player value.

Sorry to say, but my decision stays. Trading open Pandoras Box. I'm happy to say we have cheating , but most time it is under control. With this, you raise the chance for cheating, you raise the need for me to control the transfers, you create permanent workload on the admins side...No, thanks.

Most of this I can understand.

But I said it once I'll say it again. Using the method I describe the above cheating is no longer an issue. Maybe PO mangers because they can't get the trade they want to go through.

The method I describe. If wanted to ensure no cheating. Would allow only the exchange of players similar age and skills. But it would allow people to trade lb for wr ect

Either way any other suggetion.
I'll bring trading up again some time in the future

One way to prevent it would be limiting the number of trades/players traded per manager and per season, everyone would be more careful. Or the comi would decide it.

I had the idea to put votes, but pete said it was already done and counterproductive, maybe the managers trying to trade should stay anonymous to the eyes of the voters. (anyone understanding me ?)

One big rule to avoid cheating would be just 1 trade between team A & B every 2 seasons.
(Unfair proposition!)another rule would be requiring some RZA experience before trading : to make sure a manager doesn't trade before he knows enough about RZA, RZA players, etc... 3,4,5 or 10 RZA seasons before trading, idk.

Limit trading to only within leagues. Set veto rules like in Fantasy sports so voting is league wide. Set parameters that dictate how many owners must vote before a trade can be executed. I think 1/3 is a good starting point.

We had exactly this...and no, it is not working. The mistake is to believe managers work honest with such tools. The very very first trading attempt in this game was shot down by vetos triggered "just for fun"...

No, I'm done with trading and vetos by human managers. Life time...

Would this be one third of human managers? I'm thinking here of divisions like Thunder 2.2 where there's only 15 managers.

Yeah, it would have been 1/3 of human managers. It's unfortunate that humans can't be trusted, but I understand.

It is annoying, i really like the idea of trades but it's horribly difficult thinking of a way to stop people screwing it up!
