Yes! We are back for another season of FOOOOOOTBAALLL!!
And we are starting up with a potential cracker of a game: a relegated team from Elite against one of the surprising teams of last season. Old meets new. Distinguised veteran vs enthuastic upstart. I could go on and on but at the end of a day this game will set the tone for both teams for coming season. Will Inbhir continue where he left off by dominating the league or will Wolflings manage to pull of a shock win or even keep it close to the end. What do you all think? |

Both managers came back with an interview in a record breaking time, well done fellas!
Here's Bovakian's interview: Question 1. Welcome back to Thunder 1.1. What was the experience of Elite like and are you eager to get back asap? I did better than I expected and my team's level was a lot closer than I thought. Getting back there is a different problem as I just had 3 long term team members retire and 9 more are due to retire at the end of this season so this season is to start settling in the next generation of Nairnites. Question 2. Wolflings had a great year last season and are amongst the highest rated teams now but you have never played them before. Are you concerned you are working against an unknown quantity here that could pose an unexpected challenge? I don't think they are a "flash in the pan" team and I am looking forward to playing them. I am never concerned about the challenge of any team in Thunder 1.1, I actually look forward to them and am happy when I see our regions teams progress and improve. Question 3. Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season? Interceptions. I pride my team's ability to get turnovers regularly, though I would like to see more go for 6. Question 4. What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game? There is only once answer to this. Who ever gets in the End Zone more, wins. |

Question 1. You've been fairly quiet on the transfer marker over the off-season adding only a P, TE and LB. This does show faith in your current squad but some would say that it can also be risky as other teams are improving. What are your thoughts on that? Unfortunately its becoming harder to find players worth the extra salary but I am still looking. Question 2. You have a tough start of the season but it does give you an opportunity to get a sense of where you are with your team. What is your goal for this game and for the rest of the season? Our goal is to not get totally flogged. As for the rest of the season we face a lot of tough opposition and would be happy to win half the games. Question 3. Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season? We have few star players. The workload is rather shared amongst a number of players so they are fresh for the entire game. Our strength is defence. Question 4. What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game? Unfortunately we are totally outclassed. Miracle? |
