Welcome back to week 2 of season 25. This week we are featuring two teams who met each other in the S23 Thunder 2.1 Bowl where true winners home won convincingly.
Both teams have taken a different approach with true winners having more of a boom bust approach (whether this is intentional is unclear) while Krugodam Stompers have had steady progress since joining RZA. As always our beat writers are already on the road again... |

We ran into krugodam, literally, when we entered the Krugodam facility so we were able to get an interview really fast.
Question 1. Your were impressive in a few games in your first season and got a solid base to build on. With how many games won would you be happy this season? Last year was all about working out a playbook that suited my players, along with a bit of experimentation as I was very new to RZA. By the end of last season I was happy with the playbook and that showed in the two vital wins I had towards the end of the year against Bison City and The Steelers. We are aiming for 7 wins this season. This is a big challenge for my players, but I believe we can do it. Question 2. Your wages bill is the 4th lowest in Thunder 1.1. Is this a deliberate strategy or are you saving up to go on a 'Green Machine'-like spending spree soon? Last season I set about building a decent team for cheap, and I was happy with the quality of the players I got for the small prices paid. I think my most expensive purchase was about $250000. This year it's all about maxing out the stadium and limiting purchases from the Transfer Market. The spending spree might come next season... Question 3. Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season? To me it's all about converting 3rd downs. I hope the team can improve in this area throughout the season. Question 4. What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game? Home field advantage might be vital in deciding the outcome as we are evenly matched. |
