Browns Go balls deep in this one

I never thought of that, well it would be a first!

From a 49ers point of view I would love that

Whilst I don't think it will be the Browns I do think we may see the Niners trade down. I don't think there is the player this year to hold a team to ransom for pick 2 so the cost won't be prohibitive like it would in a year with two top drawer Franchise QB prospects. However you can't make that trade until Garretts name is off the board, just to ensure that the Browns don't stun everyone, because that changes the value of pick 2 substantially. This is why I love the draft so much because of all the scenarios and permutations that mean the front offices involved are near meltdown.

My personal two favourite prospects are Adams who I think is going to be a long term All Pro standard safety and Foster who is a nasty athletic tone setter on D. Foster has his knocks off the field but not anything that's going to drop him here much. In five years time I see him being one of the real stars out of this draft.

Finally I wonder how high Al Davis would have taken Ross, 4.22 speed ......

I fully agree with you that I would like the 49ers to trade down. But the problem could be who want's to trade up? On my mind (I'm no fulltime scout actually ) there are a whole lot of prospects in the "Tier 2" after Garret so some teams could decide to stay put.

It only takes one front office to desire one top player and worry that he will be gone in pick three to force a move I guess. Your reasoning is why I don't think any trade would be prohibitive for the pick ( think the multi first round deals we've seen previously). Which I guess brings a lot more teams into play if it's more of a unsecured loan rather than a full mortgage the future for the pick lol

It's so funny how much love the niners still get. They are so depleted with talent they can't afford to pass on the number 2 pick. Adams can be a tone setter for their secondary and whole defense and it would be stupid to pass on that. But with jed York as an owner I would not be surprised by anything

Imo they are so depleted with talent they need more than just the No.2 pick, so trading down to accumulate more picks seems like a good idea, if they get a good offer.

this!

On my mind I don't care if they pick Adams or Hooker or Thomas or Lattimore [or some other CB] or Foster or any Offensive Skill Position. Everybody "can" be a diffrence maker but it's no guarantee. That's why I fully support the strategy of acumulating picks to just get more chances to be right. See BB in former years...

I agree in one way but as was said, there's no one in that draft that justifies jeopardizing your future over the number 2 pick. Except maybe Myles Garrett if the Browns keep being complete morons.

Malik Hooker - lots of talk about his injury situation...I think a lot of teams will shy away from taking him in the top-10. A lot of mock drafts had him slotted to the San Diego (now Los Angeles) Chargers - - but sediment has shift to somebody who doesn't have health issues.

My problem with Thomas is his fit in the 4-3 Under scheme the Niners appear to be moving to. He's a LDE here, granted a potentially very good one and that's where Buckner needs to play. Armistead is a 3T which is the other position Buckner could play. The Niners don't have a 1T or LEO on the roster worth a start.

Adams best fits a need at 2 unless you are willing to say goodbye to AA already. Day 2 I would look at the best Edge rusher available to play the LEO spot then move on from there. Physically he's more gifted than Kam Chancellor but can he read the game and set the tone like Chancellor does? If he can then it's an easy choice imo.

Could you imagine Joey Bosa playing off the edge of Johnny Allen? Think how Aldon Smith looked playing off Justin Smith!
