Jetto was so nice to take over the role of beat writer for GOTW this week and he set down with Cheesehead to discuss the upcoming game and RZA in general. And if you wondered if cheesey snacks were on the table, then the answer is most definitely YES!

Thanks jetto and here is the interview:

Question 1.
Thunder Bolts already won vs. Basterds which was some kind of upset at that time. Are you concerned to loose it anyway?

[Yes, Thunder Bolts got me worried! They beat Basterds, who've just come down from Elite, and they are at home. Also as this is a GOTW game. I usually tend to lose these if my memory serves me well.

Question 2.
Funny enogh you both have nearly the same wage bill and average age of your rosters. Did you scout any differences in Rosterbuilding at all?

Well, my scouts tell me that they also don't like to spend big on players so I think you can conclude we must have a similar management style. Thunder Bolts are progressing faster than I did at the time. They've made the most of their time in tier 2 and came up ready to rock and roll. These are the kind of teams we need in Thunder 1.1!

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?
His O-line performance. Can I sack his QB and can he establish a run game against me.

Question 4.
Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season?

Rushing yards per game. I am trying to have a more balanced offense this season with a higher percentage of rushing plays.

Question 5.
What is your manager's philosophy for your team and what is your long term goal for your team?

'Burn low, build slow' is my slogan. This means that I burn not a lot of money and my team building is therefore a slow build-up to a bowl ready team. At the same time I am trying to sign new younger players so I have a development pipeline which theoretically means that I will never have to enter a rebuild period. Also, I refuse to pay top dollar for the top players so I will also have players that are below the absolute top in RZA but I am trying to compensate this by clever use of my playbook,

Question 6.
What feature would you like to see in RZA game engine that is not already in there?
1. More info on play by play basis.
2. Man coverage vs zone coverage.
3. Salary cap.
4. Veterans degrading their physical skills as they grow older.

wsfjlt send a message via his press officer that with the big game on the horizon he unfortunately didn't have the time to conduct an interview.

Bolts need to be plus 2 in the turnover battle or have a huge advantage in passing yards.

That's it. I've done my latest game prep and I am leaving it alone. Fate will take care of it from here

So another thriller on the GOTW show. This game had it all: turn overs, last ditch defensive stops, both good OL and running performances and of course a last minute winning TD. Thanks for watching and until next week.

Btw I'll also consider nominations for game of the week so if you think a game needs to be featured, let me know
