Thunderians everywhere! Welcome to week 5! This week we are looking at two rookie teams going at each other. Nothing like relegation fears to stoke the temperature on the field to combustible conditions.

Our beat writers have gone out and YES! both rookies replied, a first. So thanks very much to RavensFan and inranger for being heroes already so early into their 1.1 career

Our beat writer caught up with inranger, manager of Juggernaut:

Question 1.
With Berlin Raptors having gone bot the relegation pressure has been somewhat lifted. Does this change how you'll be approaching the rest of your games this season?

No, my goal this season is to continue building a solid core of players.

Question 2.
Judging by the numbers of players who are getting snaps (down to the QBs) it looks like you don't have a DC with preferred starters. Is that a conscious strategy or just that no player stands above others in terms of talent?

The difference between #1 and #3 is minimal

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

With the recent change of my HC, my morale and TC took a hit, that will continue to plague me until I can recover;.

Question 4.
Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season?

ED: no answer was received for this question.

Question 5.
What is your manager's philosophy for your team and what is your long term goal for your team?

I am trying to develop a well rounded team that may not have a standout aspect to it, but will be solid all around with no soft spots. I still have a way to go on that goal.

Question 6.
What feature would you like to see in RZA game engine that is not already in there?

It would be nice to see an option included for 2pt extra point conversions.

Then our beat writer met a good spirited RavensFan, manager of the Baltimore Ravens, who took loads of time to answer all the questions:

Question 1.
You have not splashed cash on your team. Trying not too much to overlap with question 5 is this a conscious strategy?

Well, when I had first started the game, I was a couple weeks into it, and I hired some coaches when I wasn't allowed to because I thought I knew what I was doing. Well, that's when I realized I had nearly $7,000,000 in debt. So I fired all of the coaches with the highest salaries and it took awhile, but I finally worked my way out of the debt and was able to make the playoffs in my first year as a manager. So, I try to keep a good amount of money on hand so if salaries run high, I won't immediately go bankrupt. So, yeah I would say it's a conscious strategy.

Question 2.
Is relegation a fact of life or is the goal to stay up in Thunder 1.1?

The goal is definitely to stay in Thunder 1.1. I like the challenge to stay here because it will only make me try to make my team better.

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

I think there will be two deciding factors in this game: Time of Possession and Turnovers. The last time we played, we held on to the ball 59% of the time. We also gave up a pick 6 to them, which made the game closer than it had to be. If we don't allow any turnovers and keep the ball long enough, I think we will win.

Question 4.
Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season?

Probably turnovers. If we can force turnovers and not allow to turn the ball over, it will definitely help us win games.

Question 5.
What is your manager's philosophy for your team and what is your long term goal for your team?

We don't really have a philosophy at the moment. I haven't really thought about. Our long term goal is to develop a team that can consistently win and work our way up the ranks.

Question 6.
What feature would you like to see in RZA game engine that is not already in there?

I don't really pay attention to that. As long as we win games it doesn't matter. (I don't usually watch the games anyway).
