As the editor of the GOTW show is away this weekend on an island retreat we are posting this early here.

Expect interviews where we don't shy away from the difficult questions that have to be asked!

We met up with legendary manager Bovakian of Inbhir Narann who is probably the most respected manager as well as the most liked manager!

Question 1.
All the talk of the town is about a revenge game after the 77-7 humiliation of last season. Is revenge on your mind as well?

Oh! the game where I forgot to do a depth chart and playbook..
The loss helped me a lot
No thought of revenge on my mind . it was a nice wake up call

Question 2.
Some pundits claim that no team should have to enter a disruptive rebuild phase if the talent pipeline is managed properly. How would you like to respond to these claims.

Talent from your Youth Academy is, if done properly, managed correctly,
but doing too well and appearing in the Play Offs too often does not always get you a decent selection in the draft and in the past I have delved heavily in the Transfer Market to find immediate talent. Doing that too often digs deeply into your budget and recent changes in the wage calculation required me to sell and cut a lot of experienced players to get the wage bill under control.

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

Being able to keep control of the game and hammer out the yardage on the ground.

Question 4.
Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season?

This season is to see a gradual increase in the teams rushing yardage as my young QB's, though talented, are still on a steep learning curve.

Question 5.
What is your manager's philosophy for your team and what is your long term goal for your team?

My basic philosophy and aim for my team is not to have losing seasons, at this level if I get 8-8 or better each season I am happy. If I find that the squad is strong enough for another go at the Elite then I will go for it, but if it is with this squad then that is a few seasons away.

Question 6.
What feature would you like to see in RZA game engine that is not already in there?

There is not any that stick out, but I am keeping an eye on Pete's balancing set up as some defensive formations should still do better than they are.

And straight on the heels of this interview we are treated to a sit down with JonatanRiver, manager of the Totoras Patriots who has managed his team for a jaw dropping 20 seasons. A true legend as well and one who has established himself firmly in the Thunder league lore!

Question 1.
I think it's fair to say that you've had a disappointing start to the season. Against Basterds it looked like you might cause an upset. Are those the first signs of things coming together and the Patriots starting to climb up the division?

Win. And improve my efficiency. As long as the offensive game gets good results, I think the team can improve. I can not blame the players for defeat. We faced an elite team, experienced new things to see if we could compete. I did not work. It's my fault.

Question 2.
QB Patrick Rollin only played a few snaps but boy, has he got fans excited. 3 completed passes for 2 TDs, 75% completion rate. The sample size is extremely small but Rollin has been biding his team for many years now after the controversial S24 transfer from Squales. Surely Rollin is ready to be unleashed?

It is the process. I do not think he's an important part of the team for now. The idea is that you can have a bigger role when TFaj leaves the team.

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

His defense is one of the best in the league, for me. If you play as you are doing, I do not have many possibilities.

Question 4.
Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season?

Defensive statistics. It's what can keep me in shape.

Question 5.
What is your manager's philosophy for your team and what is your long term goal for your team?

Be competitive. To be able to play against the best teams of the league of equal to equal.

Question 6.
What feature would you like to see in RZA game engine that is not already in there?

I would like to see the best players in the league explaining what they see from RZA and its future.

Ouch, Bovakian got his @ss handed to him, a painful in-division loss. Well done to the Patriots for dragging themselves back into the play off race again!
