Well that wasn't the suggestion. The suggestion was just to give older teams (that aren't cream of the crop) more cups to participate in. Newer teams would be excluded from this the way it has been proposed.
The Adventurers for instance would not be allowed to play in this extra cup given the format proposed. Last edited on 2017-07-16 22:39:29 by Rock777 |

My first suggestion was to give every team a new cup, that are ranked 3-7 in their league, with all lvl1 and 2 leagues and Elite involved. So this is a significant set of teams, that are not qualified for CoC. My later suggesion was the league or league/cup combined format and 3-10 ranked players. Everything depends on the Match slots available. |

3-7 (5/31) equals 16%... You consider 16 percent significant?
3-10 (8/31) equals 26%. Still leaving out 3/4ths of the teams. |

If the idea's to give new teams a cup why not just a 2.x cup? There wouldn't be any CoC teams in it, although people will fear it gives more incentive to drop to 2.x.

I remember a suggestion for a Rookie Cup, all teams in their first two seasons will take place. The problem of all this suggestions is, this will lead new managers on the wrong way. Instead of building a stadium an have a solid income they will try to win contests.

Oh heavens, you're right As a manager of a team that routinely makes the playoffs before imploding in increasingly creative fashions, who would like even more money and more experienced players to paint over my shortcomings I retract my previous statement Whirl Bobbers! |

I don't think this second CofC is necessary. The rich do not always get richer. Every season in Elite League there are 18 of the 32 teams in CofC. Which means 14 very good teams that do not get to participate. I am personally fine with this. Besides, CofC does not have that much cash in it and only last a max of 6 games since the removal of division three.
PS The attendance money on these games maxes out at around 4.5-4.8 million (that includes the championship game as well) |

Yes, 18 teams for Elite go to CofC, but how many qualify from lower leagues...? The answer is: 2/league, while 30/league left out of any similar competition... Honestly I would prefer comments from those, who are not on the top of the leagues and collected tons of money and experience throughout the seasons, but those in lower leagues who struggle to close the gap... |

But those people are excluded in your suggestion... Why would they have a positive view of this proposal?
