So I came in early enough to get a team after the end of the season and I ended up with the second overall draft pick in Dragon 2.2 judging from the draft I think I should take a quarterback for my first pick or possibly a defensive lineman but I'm interested in other people's opinions thanks..
Just so you know I'm trying to develop an offense base team

With that high a pick I would just put to two best guys #1 and #2. Very good chance you will get your #1 pick if you are going second.

It depends on the players available. If there is a QB with stud numbers (sp and str 45+, and int. 50), he may be worth that pick. But its my experince, that QBs rarely enters the top 5-10 players in a draft class. Often those spots are reserved for LBs, DLs and WRs. I personaly use a formula, to find the best players, you can have it if interested.

Agreeing with Rock777 and Fummer, I would add that in the 3rd round it can be important to sort your draft with focus on LEAST wanted - however, picking 2nd you should avoid this challenge this season. So for coming drafts

In the very first draft all picks are improvements to your team, so you could approach the draft from any strategy.
Analyse your team - who are the weakest players (perhaps with focus on playing style or general improvements).
Players facing retirement - this will leave a gap either way.
If you have 4 WR's 28+ it might be a good idea bringing in a youngster for long term planning.

Overall, picking 2nd, you have a good chance picking 3 players with top quality.
So, DL's and LB's with 50/50 speed/strength high intel and TW would be top of my list in the situation.
A QB, like Fummer said, would need 45+ strength and 42+ speed high Intel and TeamWork.

Good luck and have fun with the draft

I'm a bit late, but I'll participate.

Since it's your first draft and you are picking #2, just take the BPA, don't think about playing style.

It would hurt you long term if you use such picks to reach for a player you want just because of the position he is playing.

Also, QB's don't do it all by themselves. These are 2 errors I made when I began here.
