Goooodmorning folks and we are back for week 2 of this season. Last week's clash duly delivered as Basterds showed he still has what it takes to go toe to toe with the big guys of this league.

Now our attention switches to the AC East where Preston Plumbers have returned from their stint in Elite and will face the Wild Thangs who'se fanbase must be hurting following LM Pirates unexpected promotion. In-divisional games really cost them and they can't really afford to allow the Plumbers to leave with the points.

Meanwhile everyone is wondering who the Plumbers are now. This game will tell us a lot.

A philosophical and deviant Stizz had a good heart to heart with our interviewer and you might learn a valuable life tip by reading it:

Question 1.
So last season a lot of people where thinking you would take the next step and really challenge for promotion. Instead you regressed and LM Pirates, out of nowhere really, got promoted! Was that frustrating and how are you seeing the coming season develop.

My team has many ups and downs, and I take full blame for the down side. I really do not focus on strategy, and have been spending much less time playing the game than I used to. I do not get too frustrated because there are so many beautiful things in life that are much more important!

Question 2.
Last season you spend some big money on three players. Have you been happy with their contributions to the team so far?

See? Now you are forcing me to do research - I remember I bought some players on the TM, but I think it was not such a good move on my part - I will look and get back to you. . . . .
Okay, I am back. I did spend 10M on an OL that will be solid, but he is still young. Also a DL that should be a fine player in a season or two. The third player was bought for cheap and is no longer with the team. I am not concerned with their contributions yet.

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

I will hope for some luck, and I need big turnovers to come my way!

Question 4.
Give me the state of your team and what you project it to over the coming 5 seasons.

Well, as I said earlier I do not take the game very seriously, and I know that if I go to Elite again I will be coming right back to Thunder. I plan on continuing to make it to the playoffs, and give some other teams a hard time.

Question 5.
What was your best buy on the Transfer Market ever?

Oh no, more research... ... ... . . . .
It must be QB Marshall Shaw, who I picked up in S24 after I lost my starting QB due to financial problems. That player helped me keep fighting while my backup QB grew up. I see that I did not use the Transfer Market to buy players very much at all in the past, so I thought I would try some more this last season. I think I may be sticking to my home-grown players mostly in the future.

Question 6.
What NFL team do you support in real life and why?

If I am forced to choose an NFL team, it would be Atlanta Falcons, since I lived in Atlanta for about 30 years. However, my main support is for My College team, Miami Hurricanes ╚╝
I live in the jungle with no television, so I have not followed NFL football for about 5 years.

oakbark met us for this entertaining interview with a great story at the end to finish our interview:

Question 1.
Welcome back in Thunder 1.1! I certainly hope my team won't follow your Elite opening day win up with 15 straight losses :-) But now you are back, how do see your team now? Has promotion to Elite changed the Plumbers such as it changed the Deflators for example who are now considered a top team in Thunder unlike before their promotion to Elite.

The team that won promotion to Elite was much better than this one now. This one will be much better than that one in five years time. Is this good or bad? We shall see.

Question 2.
The seasonal reviews by your team are a really entertaining read and I'd recommend everyone to read it. However this leads to obvious requests to write more content during the season. Can you make that happen you think?

I shall try

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

Gameplanning, which of us gets it right on the night
[EDITOR'S NOTE: than you should win as stizz famously never does any game planning or even reads the rules )

Question 4.
Related to question 1 but focusing more on the long term, give me the state of your team and what you project it to be over the coming 5 seasons.

Challenging Notsch and Buddy, if i cant at least compete with them i have failed. I dont have to beat them but push them close to being relegated is.an aim. Obviously i woild like to go further and beat em lol.

Question 5.
What was your best buy on the Transfer Market ever?

Tough one, Ronald Grayson for 7500 lol. Gonna be a decent WR and was cheap as chips! I have better players but for the money boom!!

Question 6.
What NFL team do you support in real life and why?

SF 49ers. Basically because first tine i evwr saw it on Tele they were playing. This was the Montana, Rice, Lott version. Boy were they good. Then the Steve Young era. Who was better Montana or Young? I dunno but Young was the most fun QB to watch ever. My football hero though was Ronnie Lott. Greatest all round DB ever. Ferocious player. That hit on Ickey Woods won em the Superbowl. I remember watchimg that moment. ICKEY had run all over us that first drive. The DC is telling em on the sideline we need to stop Ickey. Ronnie looms up and says he will take of it. Next drive he blows him up. Ickey is no longer a factor.....

My 2 cents on Young and Montana is Montana. Montana got a SB before Jerry while Young's was with Jerry, and TO, 2 of the best receivers to ever play the game. Montana succeeded much earlier in his career while Steve Young failed in Tampa so badly that he was benched for Steve Deberg and they decided to draft Vinny Testaverde and give up on Young completely.

Young revived his career coming into a system that was a perfect fit while Montana helped Walsh succeed with his at the time brand new West Coast offense and played at an all pro level from his 2nd season to retirement. Montana over Young.

Lott was a dude. Best safety I ever saw play.

Much like I forced stizz into research, you've done the same to me:

And is this the (in)famous hit?: YouTube video above starting at 3:13

Thats the one. Not the best Ronnie Lott story though, thats reserved for Lott having the top of his finger amputated in order than he wouldnt miss any game time having reconstructive surgery for the 86 season. Hard man.

When you hear about tone setters in football thats what people mean. The 80's Niners were regarded as a finesse team with the west coast offence that operated like clockwork. But they won championships because they had hard men like Lott and Rathman on offence who provided the nastiness you need to win at this extremely violent sport.
