The WRs look different this year.
To me, this makes the most sense: #1=Alshon. #2=Dorial. #3/Slot=Jordan. #4and5/deep guys Torrey/Nelson/Paul/Bryce. Torrey Smith feels too much like the R. Randle/S. Smith signings (hope im wrong this time, at least he´s not an ex-VaGiant). I like the moves at G. The draft will be interesting. Biggest needs: CB, pass rush and bell cow RB. |

I think it's likely the Eagles rotate WRs opposite Jeffery until someone emerges as a worthy compliment. Unless DGB shows more consistency, I think it situational matchups will dictate playing time.

It's crazy, if Torrey Smith manages to produce then the Eagles will have gone from the worst receiving corps in the NFC to one of the best!
It's interesting to see how Wentz fairs with a proper target man who can actually catch reliably. Let's hope Alshon stays fit! |

Watching Smith for the last two years as a Niner fan has been frustrating. Not so much with Smith as he is still what he has always been which is a burner and a home run deep threat. His last two seasons have been ruined by QB and scheme. On the plus side he's fresh and will be pumped up after these two wasted years and I sure will be more the player he was with Ravens than the Niners for you. There's nothing worse than seeing a player break open deep and a QB not see it or worse, not throw the football.

Aye.
As a Torrey-fan, I'll admit he has his flaws and he's by no means a #1 WR. But dang he can take away a CB and maybe a safety when he gets going on those routes. Wether he gets the ball or not, he can make the plays for your team. |

Good stuff - Defenses will have to be aware of the threat he poses, which should ensure that Wentz/Jeffrey is highly productive. Now if Lane Johnson can only behave himself we should have an offense that will be feared... Last edited on 2017-03-15 13:37:54 by JonnyP |

Dare we talk about them?
Can this be their year? For a team with supposedly so little depth in the CB/LB department, the backups have stepped up and are (mostly) performing. The loss of Hicks is a biggie though. Vaitai has found his feet after coming in for the injured Jason Peters. Corey Clement has started to show a real spark, and the signing of Ajayi looks like a masterstroke. Agholor has found his hands, Zach Ertz is finding some YAC finally, and quite how the Browns' scouts didn't think Wentz would ever be a top 20 QB is beyond any sense of logic... And that whole DL, what a unit!!! |
