Week 14 review starts with the AC East match up which saw the Whitings enjoy their Hawaii visit to face Wild Thangs. It started favourably for Wild Thangs with an interceptions on the 2nd play of the game and the resultant drive got them on the scoreboard with a FG. The Whitings responded with a FG on their next drive. Wild Thangs kept up the scoring drive momentum by taking their next drive to the house to lead 10-3 at the end of the 1st quarter. For the rest of the game the Whitings were the only team to put points on the board, 2 FGs in the 2nd quarter were followed by a 36 yard TD pass in the 3rd and 4 further FGs in the 4th to head home with a 28-10 win.
In the AC North matchup the undefeated Machine played host to the Miners. The Miners started off with a good piece of luck with a 47 yard pick 6, though they missed the PAT. This was followed by a trade of FGs before the Machine knocked up 2 rushing TDs. The 1st half scoring ended with a Miners FG and so the Machine led at the half 17-12. The Miners got there own rushing TD in the 3rd to lead 19-17 going into the 4th, where the Machine relentlessness rewarded them with 17 points to win 34-19.
The AC South match up saw the Hedgehogs roll over the Bot Ravens 98-0.
The AC West match up saw the rematch of Cougars and the Cardinals in a winner take all game. Cougars were out for revenge for the opening game defeat and took the lead in the 1st quarter with a TD. Early in the 2nd the Cardinals responded with a FG before Cougars rattled in 17 points by half time to lead 24-3. In the 3rd the Cardinals got a TD back before Cougars scored the final points of the game with a FG late in the 4th. Cougars won 27-10 was much helped by their defence sacking the Cardinals QB 10 times and picking him off twice.
The NC East match up saw divisional leaders the Bolts visit Jinonice, knowing that a win would seal the divisional title and play off place. The Bolts opened the scoring with a TD, which Jinonice's next drive wiped out. In the 2nd quarter the Bolts opened up a 14 point lead only to see it cut to 7 when Jinonice hot a 80 yard bomb. Early in the 3rd Jinonice tied it up with another bomb of 64 yards before the Bolts took control of the remaining part of the game with 4 TDs, including a 69 yard TD pass and a 42 yard fumble return TD to win 49-21.
In the NC North match up the Whalers welcomed epics, knowing they needed a win to keep their play off hopes alive. In the 1st quarter the Whalers were restricted to 2 FGs. The 2nd quarter saw their dominant play start to pay dividends with 2 TDs. Into the 3rd they added 10 points more before 2 hitting 2 more TDs in the 4th to complete the shut out of epics 44-0.
The NC South match up saw Narann play host to the Patriots. The 1st quarter saw Narann take a 14 point lead, including a 76 yard TD pass. The 2nd quarter saw the Patriots start to get into the game, but not before Narann had hit them for a 96 yard bomb, when they hit their own 68 yard TD pass followed by a FG as the half ended. The 3rd quarter saw a trade of TDs, the Patriots for 65 yards and Narann for 49 yards. Into the 4th Narann made it 31-17 with a early FG, before the Patriots had a 56 yard TD pass only for Narann to round off the scoring with a 81 yard TD pass to win 38-24.
The NC West match up saw the Sultans beat the Bot P.G.I. 90-0.
In the other games the Crushers welcomed Balenghi in the hope of breaking their duck and for the first time this season lady luck ran with them. A 60 yard fumble return TD opened the scoring for the Crushers. Balenghi pegged them back with 2 FGs in the first half of the 2nd quarter before the Crushers offence hit a 45 yard TD pass to go into half time 14-6 up. The 3rd quarter saw 2 more Crusher TDs, including a 67 yard TD pass, before they closed the scoreboard with a FG in the 4th to win 31-6.
The Wolves visited the Jockstraps, knowing they had to win to stay in the play off race. Trading FGs were the only scores in the 1st quarter. The Wolves opened the 2nd quarter with a rushing TD. The Jockstraps replied with their own TD midway through the quarter and took a 3 point lead into half time with a FG. The Wolves retook the lead with a TD in the 3rd and going into the 4th a Jockstraps FG made it a 1 point game. In the 4th the Wolves took control with 2 TDs as the Jockstraps only answer was a FG as the Wolves won 31-19.
The Alligators welcomed the Knuckleheads to the Netherlands with the owners warning ringing in their ears “You Loose You Go.” The Knuckleheads opened the scoring with a FG only to have the Alligators snap away at them on the next drive for a 81 yard TD pass, followed almost straight away with a 45 yard pick 6, a little FG and a 31 yard TD pass to lead 24-3 at the end of the 1st quarter. A Knuckleheads TD gave some hope of a game only to be wiped out with the Alligators hitting 17 more points before half time, including a second pick 6 for 45 yards. The 2nd half saw the Knuckleheads outscore the Alligators 13-9, but the game was already lost. Alligators 50-23.
Deflators played host to Xu Da, knowing that as long as they keep winning their points differential was big enough to win the division. But,hey, why not make it bigger as they totally wiped the floor with Xu Da taking a 10 point lead in the 1st quarter before Xu Da's only score, a FG, then continuing with a further 38 unanswered points to run out easy winners 48-3.
Juggernaut went to Spain to face Pamplona knowing victory would more or less guarantee them avoidance of the relegation lottery. This game ebbed and flowed throughout starting with Pamplona getting a 21 yard pick 6. Juggernaut clawed their way back with 2 FGs and a TD before Pamplona closed off the 1st half with a 81 yard bomb and a second pick 6 for 33 yards to lead 21-13. The Pirates beat the Bot DV 132-0.
The Bobble played host to the Llamas aiming to extend their winning streak to 5, but it was the Llamas that struck first with a TD. The Bobble's initial reply was a FG, however this was shortly followed by a 60 yard pick 6. In the 2nd quarter the Bobble hit a 50 yard TD pass to a Llamas FG to 17-10 at the half. The 2nd half was all Bobble, 1 TD in the 3rd quarter followed by a FG early in the 4th and finished with 3 pick 6's of 37, 30 and 32 yards to win 48-10.
The Mantis faced the Frogs hoping to break their losing streak. The game was a relatively tense one with both offences struggling to do much. The 1st quarters only score was a Mantis FG as was the 2nd quarter. The 3rd quarter saw 2 FGs for the Frogs which left the game tied going into the 4th. The 4th saw the Mantis build a lead of 10 points with a FG and a 27 yard fumble return TD before the Frogs reduced it to 3 with a 30 yard TD pass. The Frogs then defended a 4th and 2 on their own 30 yard line only to stumble on their own 4th and 1 in the dying seconds of the game. Mantis 16-13.

They are a tough side to play against and probably one of the best defences in the league. I Gotta Find A Way to stop the sacks and I don't know how
