AC Wild Card Play Offs

The Alligators played host to the Whitings in the first AC Wild Card game. The Whitings received the kick off and promptly went 3 and out on their first drive. The Alligaors started their first drive on their own 41, 10 plays and 4 minutes later they completed this 59 yard drive with a 2 yard TD pass to open the scoring. The Whitings next drive was another 3 and out, as was the Alligators next drive. The Whitings started their next drive on their own 36 yard line, 9 plays, 64 yards and just under 4 minutes later they levelled the score on a 8 yard TD run. Both teams next drives got nowhere and the final drive of the quarter had the Alligators in possession having driven from their own 13 to the Whitings 39 as the quarter closed 7-7.
Early in the 2bd quarter the Alligators moved the ball a further 5 yards before they had to settle on getting a 61 yard FG to lead 10-7. The Whitings first drive of the 2nd quarter was another 3 and out so the Alligators took over on their own 45. The drive progressed down to the Whitings 9 yard line when on a 3rd and 4 the Alligators RB Coker fumbled. The fumble was recovered by DE Lennon who returned it 44 yards. Unfortunately the Whitings went 3 and out on the resulting drive and the Alligators retook the field on their own 20 yard line. They drove the ball to the Whitings 36 yard line where their kicker hit his 2nd FG of the quarter from 53 yards. The Whitings next drive stumbled on the 2nd set of downs and the Alligators took over on their own 28, from which they drove to the Whitings 32 where their kicker missed a 49 yard FG attempt. That basically closed off the 1st half with the Alligators leading 13-7.
The 3rd quarter saw each team start off with unsuccessful drives before the Alligators second drive went for 80 yards and consumed 5 minutes to extend their lead on a 1 yard TD run. The Whitings next drive stumbled on their 41 and the Alligators returned the punt 51 yards to start their next drive on the Whitings 36. They moved the ball only as far as the Whitings 23 and had to settle for a 40 yard FG. Here we were deep into the 3rd quarter and the Whitings offence continued to have trouble moving the ball so the Alligators got it back on their own 30. On a QB option run the Alligators QB Beisebekov fumbled the ball which was recovered by DE Dukes who returned it for 13 yards and the Whitings offence took over on the Alligators 17.From there the Whitings finally got their 2nd TD of the game with a 2 yard run and went into the final quarter trailing the Alligators 23-14.
The Alligators started the 4th in possession which ended after the first play of the quarter. Again the Whitings offence could not move the ball and the Alligators got it back on the Whitings 45 thanks to a 17 yard punt return. Over the next 3 minutes the Alligators progressed to the Whitings end zone scoring on a 7 yard TD pass. The next Whitings drive stumbled on the 2nd set of downs, while the Alligators next one was a 3 and out. The Whitings came back on the field on their own 490 and were able to drive to the Alligators 33 where they had to settle for a 50 yard FG. Both teams next drives stumbled on the 2nd set of downs, then going into the last minute with the Alligators in possession their QB Beisebekov was intercepted by CB Smalls who took it 41 yards for a TD for the final score of the game.
The Alligators progress to face the undefeated Machine from this 30-24 win.

In Tennessee for the other Wild Card game where Cougars welcomed divisional rivals the Cardinals. Cougars received the kick off and started the first drive on their own 20 yard line. 12 plays and nearly 5 minutes later they had drove 80 yards to score on a 1 yard TD pass. The Cardinals first drive after the kick off stumbled on the 2nd set of downs, then Cougars went 3 and out. The Cardinals next drive also stumbled on the 2nd set of downs mainly due to their QB getting sacked twice. Cougars then return the Cardinals punt 44 yards to start their next drive on the Cardinals 37. On the 2nd play of the drive FB Scott fumbled and it was recovered by LB Mathon for the Cardinals, however the Cardinals could not capitalise on the turnover as their drive went 3 and out. Cougars next drive went likewise, then the Cardinals next drive was again stopped on the 2nd series of downs. So the quarter ended with Cougars in possession and leading 7-0.
The 2nd quarter got under way with the Cardinals returning Cougars punt 34 yards so they returned to the field on Cougars 25 yard line. 5 plays later they tied the game with a 2 yard TD pass. Cougars next drive ended on the 3rd series of downs at the Cardinals 40, but it only got there after a cheeky 4th and 1 on their own 30 had been successful. The Cardinals next drive started on their own 20, but after their QB was sacked twice they had to punt from their own 6 yard line. Cougars then returned to the field at the Cardinals 35 yard line and on the 2nd play of the drive QB Schmollinger was intercepted by CB Muller who returned it 76 yards for a TD and the Cardinals took the lead. Cougars drive after the kick off started on their own 16 and ended on the Cardinals 9 yard line where their kicker missed a 26 yard FG attempt. The Cardinals saw out the remainder of the half with their next drive and went into the break leading 14-7.
The Cardinals received the kick off at the start of the 2nd half and commenced their first drive on their own 20. This drive stumbled on the 2nd set of downs as their QB was sacked for the 5th time in the game. Cougars took over on their own 25 then spent the next 4 minutes or so driving the ball 75 yards to score on a 1 yard TD run to make it 14-14. The Cardinals next drive was a 3 and out, so Cougars were back on the field at their own 46. In just under 3 minutes they had driven the ball 54 yards and scored on a 12 yard TD run to take the lead. Again the Cardinals next drive went 3 and out. Cougars came back on the field on their own 37 yard line and during most of the remaining time in the quarter drove the ball 63 yards to end up extending their lead to 28-14 on a 16 yard TD pass.
The Cardinals started the 4th in possession, but stumbled on the 2nd set of downs. Cougars took over on their own 33 yard line where FB Scott fumbled for the second time in the game and this time LB Mathon returned the fumble for a TD. The Cardinals were over their disastrous 3rd quarter. Cougars went 3 and out on their next drive and gave up 33 yards on the punt return so the Cardinals took the field at Cougars 20. On the first play of the drive the Cardinals levelled the scoring on a 20 yard TD pass. GAME ON. Cougars started their next drive on their own 20 after the kick off and it needed cool heads not to get flustered from the Cardinals quick comeback in the first 4 minutes of the final quarter, so they kept control of the ball for the next 5 minutes to drive it 80 yards to retake the lead on a 7 yard TD run. The next Cardinals drive ended as a 3 and out as their QB got sacked for a 6th time. Cougars took over on the Cardinals 45 and over the next 3 minutes drove down to the Cardinals 2 where they had to settle for a 19 yard FG with just over 2 minutes left. The Cardinals final drive petered out on the 2nd set of downs as Cougars rolled on to face the Jockstraps with this 38-28 win.

NC Wild Card Play Offs

The Bobble played host to the Sultans in the first NC Wild Card game. The Sultans received the kick off and their first drive stumbled on the 2nd set of downs mainly due to their QB getting sacked. The Bobble took over on their own 48 and having driven the ball to the Sultans 32 QB Whitemire was intercepted by LB Mahmoud who returned it for 37 yards as the Sultans returned to the field at the Bobble 34. The Sultans managed to drive it to the 13 yard line before they had to settle for a 30 yard FG. The Bobble started their next drive on their own 21 and over the next 5 minutes they moved it 79 yards to take the lead 7-3 on a 4 yard TD pass. The Sultans next drive did not get passed the 2nd set of downs as their QB was sacked again. The Bobble next drive used up most of the remaining time in the quarter and was capped off with a 15 yard TD run as they led 14-3.
The Sultans started the 2nd quarter in possession and continued to the Bobble's 47 yard line when a 3rd sack of their QB stopped their progress. The Bobble moved the next drive from their own 10 to the half way when it ran out of steam. The Sultans next drive was a 3 and out as their QB was sacked a 4th time. The Bobble then went 3 and out, so the Sultans got the ball back on their own 38 and over the next 4 minutes drove it to the Bobble's 24 where they had to settle for a 41 yard FG. The Bobble's drive from the kick off went 3 and out and the Sultans got the ball back on their own 45 where they proceeded to drive quickly down to the Bobble 28 only to miss a 45 yard FG attempt just before half time. So the Bobble led 14-6 at the half.
The 3rd quarter was not much to write home about as each offence had 3 unsuccessful drives and the quarter, in which there was no score, ended with the Bobble in possession on the Sultans 49.
The Bobble continued the drive that had started late in the 3rd down to the Sultans 26 yard line where they hit a 43 yard FG to lead 17-6. The Sultans started their next drive from their own 20 following the kick off and drove the ball, over the next 5 minutes or so, 80 yards to score on a 3 yard TD run making it a 4 point game with just over 8 minutes to go. The Bobble's next drive was a 3 and out, so the Sultans got the ball back on their own 37 with 7:10 to go. Over the next 4 minutes they drove down to the Bobble 34 where a 4th and 1 pass attempt was intercepted by LB Ntirenganya who returned it for 36 yards. The resulting Bobble drive was a quick 3 and out and with 1:07 to go the Sultans got the ball back on their own 20. Having moved the ball 27 yards in less than a minute their final play was an incomplete pass and the Bobble go on to face Deflators with a 17-13 win.

In the other NC Wild Card game Narann visited the Pirates. The Pirates received the kick off and the 1st quarter saga of lack of offence movement due to good defensive work commenced. Neither offence could get any purchase during the 1st quarter as their respective defences kept smothering any movement so the quarter ended scoreless.
The start of the 2nd quarter saw the Pirates punt and Narann return it 13 yards, but Narann's nest drive was only 2 series of down and punt, Then there was a series of 3 and outs by both teams. Then the Pirates ended up on the field at the own 2 yard line. 3 plays later, having got to their 17, the Pirates QB Caneschi hit WR Hidalgo for an 83 yard TD pass to open the scoring. After the kick off Narann's offence still could not get anything going with another 3 and out series, so the Pirates got the ball back on Narann's 48. Over the next two series of downs the Pirates got the ball to Narann's 31 yard line and took the opportunity to hit a 48 yard FG. The remainder of the quarter was more unsuccessful drives for both teams as the Pirates went into the break leading 10-0.
Lord knows what was said in the Narann dressing room at half time, but on their 1st play after receiving the kick off QB Hibbert hit TE Ting for an 89 yard break out TD to get them in the game. The Pirates drive after the kick off was a 3 and out so Narann got the ball back on their own 29 where QB Manuca hit WR Suarez for a 71 yard TD pass which put Narann 14-10 up. Narann's defence made sure the Pirates next drive was another 3 and out so their offence got the ball back on their own 17. This time QB Hibbert hit WR Suarez for a 83 yard TD pass and in just over 3 minutes of the quarter gave Narann a 21-10 lead. Another defensive stop at 3 and out on the Pirates next drive meant Narann got the ball back on their own 31. This time Narann's offence did some clock management and took over 5 minutes off the clock to drive the ball 69 yards ending with a 5 yard TD run. The Pirates managed to get a 1st down on their next drive before the drive was snuffed out and from the punt Narann returned the ball 39 yards to start their next drive on the Pirates 36. Narann saw out the quarter, which saw them overturn a 10 point deficit into a 18 point lead, in possession on the Pirates 6 yard line.
3 plays into the 4th quarter Narann ran in a 5 yard YD to extend their lead to 35-10. Now nothing was working for the Pirates as their next drive went 3 and out. Narann got 2 series of downs in before they punted it back to the Pirates, who had to start their next drive on their 2 yard line. The Pirates managed to get to their 11 yard line when QB Caneschi tried to connect with WR Camus on the 24 yard line when LB Velthuizan intercepted it and returned it to the house making it 42-10 and game over. The remaining 9 minutes of the game saw the Pirates have possession 4 more times and failing each time to get out of the pit they were in, while Narann ran down the clock each time they had possession. Narann's 42-10 win now means they have to go and do the same against the Bolts.

Thanks for your effor effort to write such good reviews.

It was a big disappointment for me. I was not expect to promote Elite's but my offence let me down

Of course there were a real good team against us and they well deserved the game. Congrats to Alligators and good luck for their upcoming game.

I hope Jimmy GQ's Jockstraps makes till the championship game, so that we may have a chance to win divison again
