Special Traits
Blocking Back: This back is a good pass blocker. This gives a 5% bonus to the vision checks required to see blitzing defenders coming on pass plays, when playing HB or FB.

Do HB ever actually block??

I've never seen the HB block, but I believe the intention is that they will eventually.

I think it's the same like coverage of receivers, we do not see in the pbp but we do know it happens.

Yes they do.

There are forum discussions on this, as to why they always have a 100% blocking rating. I cant remember where i read it, but I did a forum search to find it.
If my memory serves me correctly, if a FB slows down a blitzing LB, SF or DE that breaks through, it is counted as a sucessfull block even if a sack is recorded. A completely botched block is not recorded due to programming issue I believe.

Yes, Kevin is right, botched blocks are not counted.
