Honestly I don't understand why this traits couldn't apply to all players. All it does is give a bonus to vision which is needed at all positions.

"Natural Leaders" can also play any position. For the Eagles Kelce is a leader and he plays Center. Richard Sherman is also obviously a leader and he plays CB...

Every team has a leader on defense, at various positions in the NFL. For purposes of our league play though, I understand the necessity of having a few people with a trait being coveted for what they provide in extra ability. If the Natural Leader trait is only applied to one position on offense, then it makes sense to add only one position on defense.

Personally, I would think it's any position requiring a high intelligence. QB, MLB, FS.

But QB and MLB only works for me too.

Traits are a player type selection, and I dislike having too many "global traits". I do not aim to reflect real life on this one.

A wrench in this discussion, if I may. This is probably too much from a programming perspective, but I like the idea of this being applicable at any position as it is possible for any player to be the leader. But here comes my wrench: only allow for the trait to be used by one player on the field at the same time, so one offensive leader and one defensive leader. You could even throw in a negative effect of having too many natural leaders on the field similar to playing with a morale loss because too many leaders can be distracting to the rest of the team.

I like the idea, but this would be a nightmare to code. Sorry.

But, maybe we can adapt this idea a little: too many superpaid superstars in one team cause Morale and Teamwork issues... Oh, I love the responses already

Don't wait for the responses, just introduce it.

Or MLB.

Giving a vision boost of 5% to the defense maybe...I don't know. I just know leadership is just as important on D as it is on Offense.

I see it as more like a captain, so there would be only one captain on D and one captain on O. so i agree.

I agree with this Pete. This is natural. perhaps the lower the teamwork of the affected player the more effect 'jealousy' would have. this might also stop managers training players up so much that by the end of their contract they are unemployable due to the high salary.

I would hope the effect would be small though
