Set the wrong playbook.

And yet well played. I did this many times before. Especially in games that I scouted and prepared well.

Weeks 4-5 Headlines
Game of the Week Schrodingers Cats 27, Gdansk Redskins 20
In the first round for AC South supremacy, Schrodingers Cats rallied from a 14-pt deficit to take the early lead in the division, knocking off his rival. Bunio's boys had some missed opportunities in this one, starting with the opening drive where the offense stalled out in opponent territory and had to punt it away. The two teams traded FGs on the next two drives before the Redskins took control in the 2nd Qtr with consecutive TD drives to go up 17-3. But Dolfin's squad managed a long FG before the end of the half to stop the bleeding and build a little momentum. That continued into the opening drive of the second half, but a Redskin INT in the red zone returned all the way into Cats' territory appeared to be a back breaker. But the Redskins missed a short FG only to intercept the very next pass and this time converted the red zone FG to go up 20-6. But instead of giving up, the Cats special teams took the kickoff into Redskin territory, and the offense capitalized with another TD drive cutting into the lead 20-13. Another Cats defensive stand got the ball back into the offense's hand quickly, and the Redskins defense looked fatigue as the Cats drove the ball into the end zone to tie it up at 20. Again, the Redskins offense stalled out in Cats territory and had to punt again on the wrong side of the 50 yd line. But the defense came up with a stop and a big punt return had the Redskins threatening to get the lead back. Then, on perhaps the play of the game, the Cats defense dropped Redskin FB Iasmin Buleica for a 1 yd loss on a 3rd and 1 on the Cats 35, and the Redskins punted it away again in Cats territory. This time, Dolfin's team made Bunio pay by scoring the game-winning TD with just under 3 min left, but it was enough time for one more drive. Gdansk got the ball to the Cats 16 with time for one more play, but CB Hasim Ommar iced the game with a goalline INT.

Team of the Week: Schrodingers Cats
Many teams were candidates for this week's honors (read more below), but no team had a better week than the Dolfin. In addition to the winning the game of the week, the Cats avoided a letdown against the Bautzen Greywolves, winning 32-24, and improving to 5-0. Taking down two of his toughest opponents makes a big statement, and certainly earns the honors of team of the week.

What I Learned this Week
Look out for the Devon Warriors. In a Warrior-Warrior match, Devon jumped up on Ashlee's Rainbow Warriors, 20-3 in the first half and coasted to a 34-27 win. This victory and the Round 1 victory over Idrosburghi Verona puts Devon in the driver's seat of the NC South.

The Alpin Ducks came painfully close to being named team of the week by giving the Baltimore Ravens all they wanted before coming up short, 16-10, but salvaged the week with a win over Verona, 31-20. It was a must win for Kanard to try and keep pace with the NC East, whose top three teams are a combined 13-1* (OK, Skalica Eagles have 4 wins against bots). That Verona win could come up big in the playoff race as the Ducks and Verona could both be in contention for a wild card spot.

What to make of the two West divisions? The Chicago Cubs were very close to going over .500 but came up short against La Spezia Sprugoleans, who improves to 5-0 and is looking like a playoff team. Still, in beating the depleted Konjarnik HighTowers, JackBauer is best positioned to win the division despite currently being behind in the standings due to the tie breaker. The Cubs-Ducks game next week could loom large for both teams. In the other West, apparently Damion let one get away by not having his team properly prepared against the Schrodingers Cats. Impossible to say what could have been, but at 2-2, the Bautzen Greywolves are the best of the 8 West teams and figures to move to 3-2 before another interesting Ducks' match in Week 7.

Speaking of Kanard, make sure to check out his power rankings. He beat me to the punch, so for now, I'll just add a few thoughts. I think Verona is a little high at 8; I'd bump up La Spezia and Schrodingers ahead of sandrez and possibly Gdansk as well. I also think the Old English Redcoats are too low; I get that they haven't a win, yet, but this team has been competitive against some of his superior foes. I wouldn't be surprised if in a different division with a weaker schedule, this team could be ranked as high as 19th or higher.

I do not like to be at the first place I would like you notice that who you put at the third place usually beats me and I have never lost against MSU or Rainbow Warriors only because we have never played against each other!!!

I believe that the first place is where you belong. Obviously I will try to make it hard for you to really keep it. But, as my team is far behind in third, who am I to say anything, right ?

Go ! keep going ! I can't wait to belong to the third place and maybe starting to win against you a little bit more…

Too bad you are both in the same conference. If you want to beat Buzi, you need to play him during bowl games. It seems he did not figure out how to win those games.
