I plan on selling a draft pick or two so I can obtain the funds to build my stadium. I also will use the funds I have now to hire a top level scout because what I have read the scouting is not accurate unless you have the highest level scout.
So my question is what do I look for in a player that will get me the best return? position or stats? Thanks in advance |

First off, welcome and great ideal on wanting to build your stadium first!
A LB or Defensive player with as close to 50 speed, strength, and intelligence along with a trait will fetch you the most money. However, the game has now been designed in my opinion that allows newer teams to build the stadium faster than in seasons past. You should be able to do this within your first season. With that being said, I would draft a strong LB like the one mentioned above, but KEEP HIM. Most people sell draft picks to get out of financial issues, or because their team is already loaded, and developing a future player isn't a concern for them at that moment. Again this is just my opinion. Last edited on 2019-12-07 12:26:36 by kevinisking |

I think this is a very good advice
I did exactly like this and my very first draft pick of S29 is still my best LB. Build your stadium is the first thing to do and keep yourself away from the transfer market till the stadium is fully built the second one. (just my opinion) Good players are expensive and have high wages. I do not know if this is your first time in RZA but the risk you sell a very good draft pick for few money and buy players that do not worth what you spent is very high. Your team's results do not affect the attendance and your stadium will be almost fully booked anyway. Build your stadium when your team is playing away in order to not miss incomes. Your fully built stadium will be ready in more or less a season anyway. Bring your scout level to 20 as you said and scout the players in the best RZA teams's rosters. In this way you will learn how good players are made. Than you can try to buy them in the TM choosing the ones thet best fit your play stile. This is only my experience of course, not what you have to do. Every manager finds his own way to achieve his goals. You can find plenty of very good advices in the Jack6s RZA Guide, really a great piece of work!! |

The advices above are pretty good. I think you do not need to sell drafted players now as they will probably aid you a lot while you build your squad.
BUT, if you still want to do so, I must add that under-20 draftees will gave you even higher financial return. A good draftee that can enter someone else Youth Academy is worth the extra investment. |

I would not sell your draft pick. In addition to the above, you probably won't get an equal return on the draft pick right now anyway. It's been a buyer's market for some time now.

Old draft formula thread
My old formula for setting the draft board, + a few others ideas on the draft. Agree with the others on not selling your picks. Back when players could be sold for 90-180m it would be a different story. In general id advise you to get a mentor, to help you stay clear of the most common rookiemistakes, and to bounce ideas off of. Good luck. Fummer. |
