Uh, raising the quality of the draftees is not what I had in mind.

I guess right now the procedure is that you do generate 96 players based on the position probabilities and their variances on initial values for all skills and other parameters.
So the random mechanism does provide the future 1st rounder and the Mr. Irrelevant. Assuming the list is expanded with the same logic, just let's say 32 players more. Logic would be to have a few more better players, worth a 1st round and a few more bad players worth a pink slip and instand firing. The rest would be a bigger amount of average players in drafties terms of quality. Logic would also be that overall more good and average players are selected and the likley fire candidates will not even be selected now. From my point of view this would actually already increase the quality of drafted players by a small amount, with no changes. Of cause it could happen because of the randomness that more bad players are created, but that would be bad luck I guess. |

Whoever has picks 32, 64, and 96 likely ended up with a decent first and second rounder (cause they know what they're doing, hence the last pick). So if we are talking about helping this amazing team out with a better pick in the 3rd to reward that team further, I say nay. Kudos to you for winning the big one, now take your complimentary kick returner and shush!
