I believe there are two problems with this tournament. Firstly I think there is too much prize money in it and secoundly the composition of participating teams could be better.
The prize money gives mostly the two Elite bowl participants a big boost. So I would suggest to reduce the ticket income by 50% and the prize money by 80%. The league 2 conference champions aren't competative at all. But many good Elite teams aren't participating giving again the Elite bowl participants a benefit. It would be better to have all 32 Elite teams playing this tournament. It will be more competative and also reduce the fact playing Elite being seen as a penalty. For a long time no one wanted to finish second in the monarchs divsion, not sure about other regions. Any other views on this? |

I think that was not the basic idea of the competition.
1) Elite was created long after the whole concept was there. When it was created, it got the same participants that all other leagues send, the 2 champs. 2) The competition was created to spread some money around in a different way, providing some extra for the upcoming teams, to help them adjust in the next level (that's at least what I remember). So changing it to your suggested way is way off the intention. |

As Jack6 said, I like the fact that it gives a boost for new teams entering in Elite. I helps the teams turnover in the division.
And I like the fact that the best two teams of the Elite gets a reward too. Yet as I proposed in another thread, I would support the disparition of Elite and CoC to a "Soccer World Cup" format of a Friday competition gathering the 4 best teams of each region (32 teams). |

My suggestion is:
No Élite League finalist All L1 semifinalists divided in 8 group of 4 teams es: Group 1 Adm winner Clay runner up Looser from winner Drag Looser from runner up Fire and so on 6 matches home/away The group leaders go to quarter finals The same competition for L2 semifinalists |
