This would be my Match of the Day. Really not sure about this one. I go with Luluba but pderekdactyl could snatch it to make himself the front runner of all Monarchs.

LuLuBa is definitely 100% still the Monarchs front runner. Even if someway, somehow, by sheer luck the Malones managed to win Tuesday, LuLuBa will still be the heavy favorite to top the division. Malones are more likely to be in relegation territory in Monarchs than leading it after Tuesday.

Buzi, didn't any prominent managers tell you that SCP has an incredible, deep, and consistent roster? Plus an excellent manager with championship history?

I know he has. Several times I have had the pleasure of playing his team. His team is among the Top3 to remain conservative in my judgment. This being said, he might still win the majority of matches against your team. But in my view it is more 7 or 8 out of 10 than 10 out of 10.

Never underestimate the Malones. Especially with their new QB.

Yes, we have a fanstatic GM, who build an amazing team. But our coaching has never been the best. After our DC retired end of last season, the playcalling is even more basic this season. Let's see, if it is enough for winning the division .

I guess it is 60:40 for my Pirates with the homefield advantage tomorrow, but it should be a very interesting game and season.

So that is for me. Done as much as predicted.

Now even if I get 12 losses in a row it would just be "I told you so"

First game 24 opp points, second game 24 opp points, third 19, fourth 19.

Defense, don't let me down

Welcome back to the weekly power rankings! We've got a bunch of interesting facts coming in from our statcasters! What's up with the AC? only 4 teams over .500 and none undefeated by week 3? Are the Monarchs the new Sea Devils? They didn't lose a non-division game until week 4. Will Claymore have a division winner over .500? Is Rome back? Are the Elephants, Bulls, and Malones legit contenders? All this answered (and more!) on a fine Thursday in December!

1. (4-0) DC Washingtonians (1)
Another week, another pair of wins. Got some revenge for last seasons championship loss. DC might be in turmoil with insane public servants ranting, but doc's got his squad performing and that's no fake news.

2. (4-0) Salt City Pirates (2)
The Pirates spoiled a couple NC up and comers attempts with a couple dominant defensive showings. Really looks like it'll be a Pirates/DC rematch for the conference. We'll get a fun little preview of that in a few weeks.

3. (2-2) Willemstad Bridges (4)
Somehow the Bridges go 0-2 and move up a spot in the rankings. They played the only close game DC has had this season and the AC is looking really rough right now in general.

4. (3-1) San Diego Blitz (6)
Team Steve had a great week. The Blitz have beaten the top Admiral's teams, including a commanding win against the Kids. As always the Blitz will be in it come season's end. They can beat the AC, but how will they handle the upstart Elephants?

5.(2-1) Social Distance Runners (5)
Not a lot to say about the Runner's here, they had a week off after a an easy win. Clearly the big info here is about Buzi's sudden success in picking winners. He was barely break even last season (and that was with a weekly freebie), and this season he's killing it! 41-21 is really impressive!

6. (3-1) Comeback Kids (3)
Kids weren't in the game against the Blitz but took it out on the Lions to maintain the AC 1 seed. They'll need to step it up against top competition to make it back to the conference championship form of season 39. Terriers and Packers this week will be solid challenges.

7. (3-0) Chelt Nam Bobbers (7)
Bobbers had an early bye week and are one of three remaining undefeated teams. Still waiting for the next episode of Blowing smoke! Let me know if you need a guest star!

8. (3-1) BobBoy Magpies (8)
The Magpies are doing their best to make me look smart (plenty of other teams are making me look stupid) speaking of... Magpies v. Elephants on Tuesday!

9. (3-1) TigerCats (9)
skeetz came back from a 2 TD deficit in the 4th to thwart the BoneCrushers upset attempt. We get another matchup of Ticats/Bridges on the 19th (3rd in the last 2 seasons.) That could decide playoff seeding and will certainly move power rankings.

10. (3-1) Lyon Eagles (12)
Meitheisman has got his Eagles playing really well so far. They seem to have picked up from how they ended last season. They get the Packers and a bye this week. They'll need the rest with the BoneCrushers looking like legit competition.

11. (3-1) Dumbarajko Elephants (13)
Dumbarajko moves up based on making LuLuBa sweat just a little bit in the loss. They'll soar into the top 10 if they can upset the Magpies which will be a double dose of proving me wrong...

12. (3-1) Home Malones (11)
Malones come back to Earth with a disappointing showing against the Pirates. Werewolves tomorrow with a bye, but next week's Dragons and Yorkies matchups look exciting.

13. (2-2) Black Dragons (10)
The Dragons have a really difficult/important run of games coming up. After they play Leeds, they get the Malones, Runners, Bobbers, and Malones again. They could find themselves in good playoff position or in dangerous relegation territory.

14. (2-2) Rome Centurions (20)
"Tullo Ostilio can't be pleased, but there's plenty of season and Thunder looks pretty bad." I think he's more pleased, but Thunder still looks bad. The win against the Bridges wasn't just a great win, but keeps them away from a 1-3 start. This win keeps them a game behind the Eagles for WC purposes.

15. (1-3) Diorite Lions (14)
"Based on two games the Lions might be the team to beat in Claymore." Based on the last 2 losses, it's still likely true. They played the Magpies tight and got the beating by the Kids out of the way. Next Saturday's Yorkie tilt is on my radar.

16. (2-2) Green Mark Packers (15)
Eagles and Kids are this week's games. That's a difficult pair of games, but to keep up with the division they'll need at least one. 2-4 with that division and schedule will be difficult to come back from.

17. (2-2) Hell Hounds (16)
"I never have any idea what the Hounds will do." I might as well just keep this quote pinned here. Lost badly to the Malones, beat the Dragons. Yorkies Saturday! Pirates on Tuesday .

18. (1-2) BU Terriers (17)
I feel like the Terriers needed that bye to sort themselves out. Unfortunately, they get the Kids and Bobbers in return. What happens if they start 1-4? With even more teams vying for that 6th spot than last season (even if none are the Ravens) can they recover?

19. (3-1) Bradford Bulls (23)
With all this talk about the Malones and Elephants are the Bulls the real wildcard darkhorse? They haven't been challenged by any of the top teams yet, but they've looked pretty good so far. DC, Pirates, Runners, and Dragons are all coming up.

20. (1-3) Bonecrushers (21)
"I'm legitimately excited for tomorrow's Eagles matchup." And what a game it was. BoneBruiser had to be screaming at his squares when they choked away that victory. Nevertheless, he's proven his squad can compete with the top teams of Fire. Just needs some footballs to bounce his way.

21. (2-2) Växjö Gladiators AFC (18)
The Gladiators have had a few close games, but losing a couple of those before even getting into the crazy hard part of the schedule isn't promising. Rome on Saturday is a surprisingly important game for them. A loss there and the Sea Devil's hold on the second WC spot will end this season.

22. (1-3) People's Republic of Yorkshire (22)
The Yorkies get their first win! I feel like a proud father and I don't even like kids. The Hounds and Bulls are this week and should really give us some solid games. The following week is the Lions so we will really know how they stack up in Claymore.

23. (2-2) Werewolves (25)
A solid 2-2 showing is about to get a real test. Headed to DC followed by the Malones flying in from home, this week will be an excellent barometer if Ceynwyn's team can stick around all season.

24. (1-3) AS Roma Wolves (19)
At 1-3 I don't see how they avoid relegation. It's very early to call that, but the Kids and Magpies are clearly playing well. The Wolves will need to take at least one game from each of them to even have a shot. Unfortunately, before that occurs the Blitz are coming to town.

25. (1-3) LoneStar Armadillos (28)
Dillofacts week 3! Did you know that Dillos can jump 3-4 feet in the air? These Dillos won a game and jumped 3 spots in the rankings. They needed something to get back on track and it'll certainly get worse before it gets better with the Pirates and Blitz up next.

26. (1-2) Catalunya 1714 (26)
Catalunya got the early bye and is in second place with 1 win. That shows the state Claymore is in. The Magpies and Wolves are on deck. Getting a win from one of them will keep pace, losing both will be difficult.

27. (1-3) Gardians (24)
Are there many games more exciting than a grudge match? The Elephants want the Gardians to make them more money, the Gardians don't want to help rivals. Hijinks will spill on to the field Saturday. I expect multiple suspensions and maybe some bounty penalties.

28. (1-3) 16_horsepower (27)
"The next two games against the Packers and Elephants are important for each team involved and will give us a solid gauge." Neither game was particularly close and the horses are going to need wins against the Bulls and Gladiators to stick around.

29. (0-4) Leeds Celtics (29)
Tough schedule keeps being tough. Dragons and Runners up this week. Not looking great.

30. (1-3) GLADIATORI ROMA (30)
"Fire is super competitive and they'll need those division wins to stay within striking distance." Three straight bashings by division rivals will effectively put that to rest.

31. (1-3) Deflators (31)
they've had a couple close losses so far, maybe a few tweaks or some luck could have them at 3-1 or 2-2.

32. (0-2) Valiant Pinoys (32)
The Pinoys got their first TD of the season. It's going to be difficult to find many positives coming from the Philippines this season. Draft pick excitement though!

Thanks for reading! Good luck to all and keep spending outrageous amounts on the free agent market!
