Besides setting the ceiling for the AC, does the points for the HC matter?
For example, will there be any benefit for having a 90 HC when all of my AC are below 75? |

Yes. The HC impacts the overall level of playing from your team. By how much is a mystery but Pete confirmed it does. Also the HC CP impact the weekly youth academy bonus, among other factors.

The youth academy point can be a big deal if youth is a focus for you. with the alligators I had 99 HC and I got 210 training points per u p d a t e or sth like that!

Is there something I'm missing with the extra training points for the YA? I spent 30 extra points on tackling for a LB and it only went up .1 after the update. I set the training to Tackling and 90% Strength. In order to take advantage of the extra points would I have had to 90% tackling?

The extra points are given immediately to your player, not during the next training. You were at 90% STR so logically you got 0.1 (10%) on tackling this night. Your 0.3 pt (30 training points) must have been added before the training, you may have not noticed it.
