Not sure it's a bug, likely just a misunderstanding or wrong expectation.
I did check for some players their career stats. Example from my team: A former TE Ruan Duminy here did play according to the career page 150 games, and according to by team stats spread to all seasons he did play 145 games with catch stats, 49 with blocking (I thing he was converted to TE at some point), 111 with special team stats and 111 as K/P. I'm sure he did not play 111 games as K/P, but assuming he is mixed here as special team player, this leaves the catches, blocking and special team stats. If I understand this right, it looks like he had overall 150 games, but 5 games did not put up catching stats, so likely only special team stats. This looks a bit confusing. There is no way to find out how many games and plays the player did in total per season, since there can be overlapping stuff. Shouldn't be there some sort of games regardless the played position, and then how many plays on that position and maybe plays on the field in total? And shouldn't be K/P stats different as special teams, if they are presented individually? |

Does this not provide the games per season you are looking for? This repositioning screws stats, since we do not have "versioned histories" for players. |

This are the regular season games, without playoffs (I think) and without Supercup and CoC.
In Team stats you have all of it, and I'm able to filter it. But the main point here is that in the team stats I get values on the stats categories and I get values on the players stat page, but they can not be compared easily. |

There is only one solution to create clean stats, imo: no stats for games except league. As long as we mix all those competitions, it will look strange sometimes

But that would not solve the problem I have with the stats right now.
It doesn't matter which competition, if the players did play in a play for a stat category he gets also a game count. If in that category no stats were achieved, no game count. Means as example: WR plays WR, KR and K He did play in 5 games in the season. Game 1 1 catch 10 yards, 2 Returns 20 yards, 1 XP made Game 2 1 catch 5 yards Game 3 1 return 10 yards Game 4 1 XP Game 5 1 catch 10 yards, 1 Return 10 yards, 1 FG made Total in my book: 5 games, 3 catch 25 yards, 4 Return 40 yards, 1 XP, 1 FG But team stats will show: Catching: 3 games 25 yards Special Team: 4 games 4 returns 40 yards Kicker/Punter: 4 games 1 XP 1 FG Nowhere is that stat he did overall play 5 games. |

I was checking that players career stats page vs your teams stats page, and the 3 seasons I checked looked good.
