regular season ends tomorrow, playoffs starting on Tuesday ...

I had to amend my predictions. I forgot about this newly implemented rule.

NC South

2020 - RETURN OF THE JEDI 1-0
San Diego Blitz 11-5
Dumbarajko Elephants 11-5
Torino Black Bulls 4-12

Dumba's getting relegated at 11-5!!

Damn, ok 5 in a row in Elite is a great accomplishment 😉

I would totally join in the parade if Dumba gets relegated and wins the 'Ship. It's an established RZA bucket list item for me that that happens.

One time and never never never never again pass medium in my PB.

Congrats Steve!!!

There is nothing I could do in both sides of field.

Your offense destroyed my defense.

But that is how champions play.

Cheers mate

It's Wednesday and Rufio has a ranking out?! What is this, season 42? Buzi would be so proud.

2 games in and not too many surprises so far. I look spot on with my G&R call, while my Sydney choice looked good in one and quite bad in the other for the first 2 tests.
The retirement home rodents find themselves in a rough spot after dropping 2 games we expected them to win while the Elephant parade couldn't pick up an upset early and is also sitting winless.

1. (2-0) Willemstad Bridges (1)
Bridges hold off a second half Elephant surge to get their first win of the season. They have one difficult 3 game stretch later in the season, otherwise this schedule is cake. Someone in Thunder has to emerge as a contender eventually right?

2. (2-0) Salt City Pirates (2)
Pirates come out firing with 2 huge blowouts. We know Pirates or Malones will get the 5 while the other grabs a bye. The Pirates are due for a win right?

3. (2-0) Home Malones (4)
Another Monarch team with 2 blowouts. Ravens Saturday is the game of the week as Monarchs/Sea Devils continue their battle for supremacy. Malones look to not be a disappointment to the whole region.

4. (2-0) The Alpin Ducks (7)
Strong start for the retro-branded Ducks by blasting the defending champs. This week is even tougher with Chaser and the Bobbers coming to town. That would be a very impressive 4-0 start.

5. (1-1) San Diego Blitz (5)
Steve recovers from a big championship hangover loss to the Ducks to handle the Elephants and regain control over Galaxy. The first half of the schedule is daunting, but the second half should be an easy 7-1.

6. (1-1) Peoples Republic of Yorkshire (8)
Yorkies extend their Ticat dominance but fall to the division rival Hounds. Claymore should be a wild one this season with all teams vying for playoff/avoiding relegation and also being forced to play the Monarchs + Fire regions.

7. (1-1) TigerCats (3)
Ticats can't seem to figure out the Yorkies as they've been outscored 53-16 in their last 2 matches. They'll look to right the ship against the reeling geriatric squirrels.

8. (2-0) Raven Loonies (6)
Got a couple warmup matches in. Are they Ready for the Malones? They'll need a nice division/WC lead because 4 of the last 5 games are Ducks twice, Ticats, and Dumba.

9. (2-0) Motol Ducks (9)
Tuesday is the Wolves for the division lead. This team should be competing for a bye week this season.

10. (2-0) PR Chaser (10)
Chaser barely hung on to beat Sydney and gets the resurgent Ducks Saturday. Ducks, Ticats x2, Ravens, Yorkies, Motol. This is the hardest schedule Chaser has had since rejoining Elite.

11. (2-0) AS Roma Wolves (13)
Next 2 games against division rivals and will set them up with an early buffer. I expect this team to achieve a repeat playoff berth with such a soft schedule. Last game against Motol will possibly be a fun division deciding game.

12. (1-1) Hell Hounds (17)
The Hounds made a week 1 statement letting the Yorkies know they are back. Pirates on Saturday, but the real important stretch is the last 5 games. They play all 3 division members plus Chaser and the Malones. They'll need a buffer and win at least 2 of those.

13. (1-1) Chelt Nam Bobbers (12)
"Is this the year a team finally steps up to take down the king of Dragons?" Well if week one is any indication, yes. A surprising loss to a rookie Elite team has the Bobbers playing from behind for a second straight season. 3/ next games are Ducks, Blitz, Ravens.

14. (0-2) Dumbarajko Elephants (11)
The Elephant parade couldn't stop the Steve Parade and the Elephans find their team in a quick hole. Ac pair of thunder teams this week should right the ship.

15. (2-0) Guns&Roses (21)
Here's our biggest jump. I thought this team could compete, but I didn't expect a Bobbers loss. They'll add somedistance with the Panthers and Moors this week before their next big test against the Malones.

16. (1-1) Letaidens (15)
Getting blown out, followed by blowing out someone else. I guess right in the middle is a good spot. If that's how they stack up to the Malones, this team has no shot at avoiding relegation. Two Claymore challenges this week with Sydney and the Yorkies.

17. (0-2) Sydney Rising Stars (16)
"Can Shadow go from D2 to Elite playoff team in 3 seasons?" First week shows that is going to be nearly impossible without winning the division. The difficult schedule should prevent Claymore from grabbing a WC spot, so Shadow is likely just trying to avoid relegation. PD will be important and that blowout loss to the Malones could really hurt.

18. (1-1) Highland Wildcats (18)
The Wildcats got one of the easier Claymore schedules and that extra game could easily be the relegation difference. Their tough games are spread out, so I expect this team to hover around .500 most of the season. They'll certainly need to beat Sydney and the Hounds to get there though.

19. (1-1) Norfolk Heroes (20)
A solid 1-1 start in close games. Beating the Basterds maintains #2 spot in Thunder. Next 3 are rough with the Bridges, Blitz, and Elephants.

20. (1-1) Ralph's Warriors (24)
Ralph couldn't get going in the opener against Motol. Can they pull out a division win in the next 2? If they can't they'll be staring down relegation all season.

21. (1-1) Moraira Moors (23)
The Moors season is up right now! Bobbers then G&R to avoid relegation. Sure they can come back from losing both in theory, but they won't.

22. (0-2) Sunrise City Prairie Dogs (14)
"Based on his undefeated season, it's going well. Is it going well enough to overthrow the Ravens/Ducks?" After the first 2 games, it is definitely not enough. 2 disappointing losses followed by games against the Ticats, Ravens and Pirates could easily be an 0-5 start.

23. (1-1) Basterds (26)
"First goal is to knock the Heroes back to D1." Mission failed. Couldn't quite pull it off and now will need to win the rematch that ends the season. Thunder has been remarkably consistent in final game relegation excitement.

24. (0-2) Glasgow Thistle (22)
There's just not enough here to make a big impact between team ability and schedule difficulty. The team is on the right track and the top Sea Devils should pay attention, but this is just a learning/training season for Scorchio.

25. (1-1) Deflators (32)
I rank the team last and they win their first game... They don't face the Heroes until mid season. It would be quite the accomplishment to topple them and the Bastards to give the Bridges a run.

26. (0-2) Free Agent Mascots (19)
Not a good start for Sanco. Fell 10 yards shy of a comeback win against the Basterds before dropping game 2 to the Wolves. The other 2 division members are on deck. Donating each a win and starting 0-4 might as well give the draft class a good look.

27. (1-1) Maykop Dynamos (27)
It's impressive to have a positive PD after losing by 40. We'll find out Tuesday if Alex has a shot when he goes to Hamilton to face the Ticats.

28. (1-1) 2020 - RETURN OF THE JEDI (30)
Pete started out altering the rules and qualifying for his 1-0 playoff berth. Then proceeded to act like a bot against the Pirates. All while still relegating Dumba.

29. (0-2) Panthers (31)
An encouraging loss to Motol has fans thinking this team can have what it takes, but probably when they return in season 47.

30. (0-2) Torino Black Bulls (25)
"Don't worry Fumbl I changed your name for you. Cursed no more!" So..... I might have him.

31. (0-2) Bradford Bulls (28)
After this start, it might be a 3 way race for the first pick in the draft.

32. (0-2) Sacko Del Toros (29)
A very rude awakening for Sacko in Elite, it probably won't get much nicer.

Have a great season everyone. I'll be back later to give out my season predictions.
Good luck!

In hindsight, I didn't go far enough into rebuild mode, so my team was good enough in SD 1, but lacks the star QB (or even a competent QB) to be competitive in Elite.

Motol Ducks are in serious problem.

Finances are in trouble, there is no offensive line, lots of offensive starters are on transfer list. If they are sold offense will be much weaker. If not team chemistry and morale are gone.

So I believe you made wrong prediction here, Wolves are going to be No 1 in AC West for sure.

As those that have played other sports games with me, I'm all about the full teardown/rebuild. I was doing "the process" decades before pro teams started it. It's just fun starting with a young team and watching it grow and evolve.

And then there's the Jaguars...

You may be right. I have no idea how dire the situation is over there so I wasn't going to make a quick judgement. If that is the case, then Admirals is looking pretty weak with Magpies and Ducks rebuilding, Lakers going paycheck to paycheck, and whatever happened last season to the Packers.

I definitely see the Pirates win the title this season. Already planning to stop next season ( ), there is nothing preventing them to train their players to their max without worrying about the finances.
They have 12 players in the all stars team right now and this number should grow.
