Nice to see such a large influx of new teams. Hopefully some will stick around, so welcome CuriousGamers, MN Axemen, Blue Wale and Dnipros Dendroids. If anyone needs help, don't hesitate to ask us. And definitely refer to the manuals. There's a pretty steep learning curve, so don't get too frustrated with the slow building process. We've all been through it.
Based on last year's performance and the way the two Elite teams were demoted, the two leagues are looking pretty unbalanced again. It's possible the five best teams are in the AC (Vikings, Valkyries, Tigers, HighTowers and Prairie Dogs). Maybe even the Mavericks are better than any NC team, too. Should be an interesting playoff. In the NC, I'd say the Heavy Drinkers are probably the favorites by default, with Corsairs providing the biggest challenge pending whatever Buzi's status is. |

I have been thinking what to do.
At first, here is what happened : So, Saturday evening I came back from a 3 day trip. I logged in to fast do the salaries. Too late. The deadline for the salaries isn't Saturday but Friday. Most of my team is gone. Why didn't I do the salaries earlier in the season ? I learned to wait for the last week of the season as it seemed to me that I could negotiate better deals with the players. I usually did this on the Wednesday but this week we left for a three day trip to only be back on Saturday evening. I never had a doubt that I could do everything until this Saturday. On Friday evening I even had the thought to put out my laptop and do it but decided against it as vacation with my wife seemed to be of a higher priority (still is). I don't see that I will have the motivation to do something here any more in the next weeks. I will see to keep my team active but I won't be active for a certain time, I believe. The media center is done. At the same time I will look from time to time what's going on. If there is a positive trend that there are really a bunch of new users coming, I might get back into it. The increased amount of bot matches was kind of killing it for me in the last seasons. |

I'm drafting some dummies, but I like their physicals, so I've got at least two players that will make my roster:
Cameron Str just went yellow on the first training, so will cap at 43.x, Spd is 52.5 (thank you track star). He'll move to OLB, though I don't like the 33.2 Intel very much for that position, and at 22, he's a little older than I like to use a first rounder on. Bull First, love the re-rolled name for this DL. Will be interested to see where his Str goes, as so far I'm a little lucky that he isn't capped at 45.7. Could I have found another secret 50/50 player in the second round? Speed already 50, so with enough strength, he's going to be a mean DE, albeit a dumb one (Intel 26.4) Still have 11 players of interest on the board for me; long-shot players whose value is tied to whatever the physicals cap at. I was surprised when a Bot took my overall top player with the first pick! Never seen that before |

With all of the byes over with, time for an update. My preseason outlook appears pretty good so far.
The AC is loaded compared to the NC, but right now, anything other than an AC championship of Vikings vs Prairie Dogs would be surprising. Glasgow Tigers look to be in good shape to get the 3-seed having played the hardest part of his schedule already. But the remaining three seeds are very much in play with the Mavericks/Warriors fighting for the four and the loser of that very well might miss the playoffs as the Cats (8-1), Valkyries (7-2) and HighTowers (7-2) are all better positioned. Meanwhile, the NC is.....not doing so well. The top two records belong to teams that are doing the bare minimum to stay active (Runners and Ducks) and my preseason favorite (by default) went bot. The Corsairs have risen to the two seed and could win the conference. The Cougars will win their division and the 3 seed with the rookie Dendroids taking the fourth seed and his division. Rebels are the 6 for now, but does it matter? Whoever does emerge out of this conference is going to have a very tough season in Elite. Though I suppose it's worth noting that the Runners do have an impressive Super Cup win over Elite Stone Mountain Hawks. |

Have a little patience ptdoc until next season.
We are 6 active teams in D2 league, and we're rolling to the D1 league next season and maybe some new teams will join meanwhile. |

I agree... lets hope we get more humans here. Currently we have 55% of teams human, 45% bot. I personally prefer to have a losing record and play mostly humans than a wining one and play mostly robots. Not that it is the case, as we are half and half... but... you get my meaning.
