Supercup Review from The Blue and White Arena

Ah, what a feckin Supercup scrap it was at The Blue and White Arena, sponsored by Suck It Up Flood Insurance - Total flood control, because apparently even the sponsors knew this match might drown a man in nerves. The experts said it would be close, and for a long while the feckin thing did wobble about like an old stool in a pub. A mighty crowd of 132455 visitors watched The Blue and White and the Fredericksburg Comanches batter each other senseless.
Fredericksburg Comanches opened with a tidy, grinding drive, Deron Smith finding Adan Toler near the goal line for the first touchdown of the day. Not long after, The Blue and White answered through Dimitrios Neuner, who kept feeding Tomislav Stoger until the feckin defense looked tired of chasing him. Stoger hauled in a short touchdown on fourth down, the sort of stubborn old-man decision I can respect, even if it made my knees ache just watching it.
The Comanches kept their boots in it, mind ye. Ethan Cowan powered in after a strong march, and Deron Smith had plenty of useful throws to Samuel Dumas, Liatama Rokotakala, Valentin Hale and Gabe Gillespie. But The Blue and White were freakin relentless. Werner Wiesner caught a neat touchdown, Hermann Bloch added another before halftime, and Dimitrios Neuner looked like a man throwing darts at a pub wall he actually liked.
The third quarter got feckin spicy. Valentin Hale ripped off a dangerous punt return to set up Fredericksburg in fine position, and Harry Keys later finished a drive with a touchdown catch. But The Blue and White answered again, Neuner guiding a long drive before Tomislav Stoger grabbed another touchdown near the goal line. There were sacks flying about too: Theodor Becker hammered Deron Smith more than once, Rudolf Palmitjavila got to Neuner, and Saban Tagwerker helped wreck a Fredericksburg fourth-down try with a sack that led to a turnover on downs. Feckin brutal stuff.
There was no shortage of mess either, because football is never clean unless cowards are playing it. Ethan Cowan fumbled on a carry for Fredericksburg but managed to recover the ball himself, the lucky freakin rascal. Injuries came and went as well: Clyde Mendenhall, Zachariah Curran, Harry Crow, Fredo Lueger, Arif Sina, Miroslaw Oeggl and Deandre Bowie all had their moments in the medical fog, with several returning to the field like stubborn old goats.
In the final quarter, The Blue and White leaned into control. Hermann Bloch caught another short touchdown, Heinz-Georg Steggall later added field goals, and the home side kept moving the chains with Tomislav Stoger, Werner Wiesner and Hermann Bloch all doing damage. Fredericksburg did not roll over, no sir; Deron Smith drove them down and found Adan Toler for a late touchdown, but the feckin hill was steep by then.
The dagger, if ye ask this grumbling old fool, was Theodor Becker’s interception. Deron Smith tried to force one over the middle, Becker stole it, and then rumbled it back like a man late for stew. That turnover let The Blue and White drain the life out of the finish and tack on one last kick for good measure.
Final score: The Blue and White 41, Fredericksburg Comanches 28.
