Ok, it's late here and I'm tired, but I think I understand.

Maybe you are talking about something else than we were. I think you were talking about his draft position, and yes you are right, it couldn't be any worse. We were discussing the actual players he would be getting, and they should be, in his words, prime, because there will be few humans drafting.

Or am I misreading you?

Without the coaches, I have begun hitting speed caps on my players. Several are already training on Str, and coming close to the caps. Not sure how far I want to take agility training before I start working skills.

Once you cap strength and speed, I would pick a position for the player and then train primary to about 30 before looking at secondaries and agility.

Agility is a wage skill. Its useful but the primary skill is more useful.

I actually don't recommend this. Training to 30 is way to high and will cost you money. I'd recommend training them to ~20 then rounding off their skills, it works better as well. For eg a CB with tack/vis/pos ~20 is better than one with tck ~30 vis/pos ~15. Petes said it before that tacticals skills are very important; whats the point of a CB who can tackle if he can't get into the position to make a tackle? So don't overrate primarys.

Re caps it depends on the player. If he's young I'd train the other physical, if he's old I'd start to work on his skills. eg you have a 27yo who caps at 47 spd with 25str. By the time you find his str cap he'll be retiring, but if you start with skills you'll get a few seasons out of him as a cb/wr

Same as tackling , blocking etc so i just consider it as another secondary like vision.

30 only costs about 15k a week which is nothing but don't violently disagree with a lower checkpoint. Some positions use primary more.

Like I said, wouldn't make a diference. It would be the same table if he did went to 2.x (and if he wins the Bowl I believe he has to move up, bot flush or not (not entirely sure about that tho, but I think so)), and bots or no bots he would still pick last, from the 3.3 draft table, not from the 2.x.

I would be picking close to last in 3.3. However with mostly bots in my league, I stand a very good chance of getting one of my top picks on the draft board.

Last draft, I was in the play-offs, and close to the last pick as well (26, and 56). I managed to get my second choice. The second round was also in my top 10 picks.

I doubt I would have that same chances in 2.2, since there are mostly human players.

Thanks, I had not considered this. I have a couple of players retiring this year. I will shift them to skills now.

You're missing the point, wether you promote to 2.2 or not you will be picking from the 3.3 draft table next season. So in that reguard it makes no diference to move up or not.

But if he stays down he will get two more seasons of 3.3 draft picks.

draft picks nice and good ... they are making an impact in the beginning, though in 2.2 you still can draft very good and have a little more competition. Competition is at least for me far more important than good draft picks

Completely agree with you.

And to be honest I feel like we are going in circles. JeeperD said he would get prime draft picks, and canonico seemed to disagree with that. His point that he will be picking from 3.3 this year is valid, it just isn't what JeeperD was talking about.
