I have a suggestion: Would it be possible, for easier reading, to have seasons marked on the graph on the team page (or in the table below it)? It would be nice to have vertical lines showing what timespan was S17, S16, and so on, so one can see the development of teams more easily.

I think I have a fairly easy way to do that. |

Random Thoughts:
I'm going to bring the site down tomorrow night about this time for a couple hours to run an u p d a t e that will break the site until it is complete. I will also be putting in the other half of the algorithm change mentioned last week. While the optimizer is still running and so the algorithm is not finished, I believe we will have a new number one for the first time in a while. I'm looking forward to the supercup this season for many reasons, one of them being I believe the more competitive games will have a positive effect on the ratings. It is also likely the algorithm will be able to be further optimized as a result. I will try to get the requests I've received in for the u p d a t e as well, but if I don't make it they can go in at anytime without bringing down the site. |

The u p d a t e is complete.
Thoughts: Some of this I've said quite a few times, but for the newbies it may help. I have no access to any data that isn't available to everyone, and I have no way of knowing the skills of any players added or lost in the offseason. So in many ways these will be the least accurate ratings of the season, and the more changes a team made in the offseason the less accurate they will be for that team. Even after all this time we still have a bit of an issue with teams in lower divisions being rated too highly. I hope the added competitiveness of the SuperCup will help. We do have a new overall leader, and congrats to the spartans. With apologies to Toni, seeing where the Cripplers are ranked tells me for sure the ratings aren't perfect.  Looking at it he beat several good teams by a lot of points in the final weeks of the season, especially beating the Mighty Lions, the Blobs, and the Dogs by a combined 200 points and gained 21 rating points. I personally wouldn't put him that high, but maybe this season he will prove me wrong!
The schedule can show winners by color instead of bolding if you wish, and the team history graph now breaks it down by season, but I'm not happy with the results. I need a new tool to create the graph. Best of luck to everyone! Last edited on 2015-08-07 23:42:23 by ausonny |

Added upcoming schedule to the team page
One more tweak to the algorithm for tonights update, and then I'm going to leave it alone for a few weeks until we get an idea of what changes the supercup changes will bring. |

The process is automated now and will begin at 22:15 server time. It's a new process but I expect it to take an hour or less. There's currently nothing to tell you it is done, other than the ratings will be changed. At some point I'll have the process post to the main page when it is done.
