Well here are the Aliens again, returning to the place from whence we came - NC North - to do battle again with our old rivals The Crows, The Pigs and The Eagles.
My thoughts are that we got into the Elite way too early. As I've said elsewhere I wish I could say it had been a fun season but it wasn't. Knowing you will get beaten every game is not much fun at all. I soon realised the problem with my team but also that it would likely take the whole season to do it. So I resigned myself to the losses and looking ahead decided to give my younger players some experience. I would not like to return to the Elite until I am more prepared. Back in Monarchs my goal is to continue to build and establish my team as a stronger unit capable of winning more honours in the future. I do not know how long this will take but it starts from now - in fact, in one sense it started last season. |

Welcome back to 1.1! I would say glad to have you back, but I feel a loss against the aliens is coming in the near future so I will withhold a warm welcome.

The Blood Kings are still here... and still... umm... rebuilding.
I have another two seasons or so to turn over my roster and get financially solvent again. But at least I am still kicking! Ham |

1. We don't have a game scheduled this season 2. My team is rated lower than when we left the division. So maybe I've made some bad personnel decisions. At present I do not think we are capable of winning our division and may even struggle to get a wild card spot. Still if we can improve on last season's record of 2-14 I'll be happy. My other problem is that despite a high pick in the Elite draft the players are worse than those in my Youth Academy so they are not going to be the answers to my prayers. |

Some games they pass for several hundred yards and no INTS, then other days all they throw is INTS and yet other days they just run and run all over. So yeah, need my guys to be balanced better too. I dunno, this season I am going for the division again, though without my star QB, I am unsure of how my team will perform. That QB was amazing. |

They performed substantially worse last season than they had done in 1.1 Its hard to judge when playing against much better teams than you, the playbook just can't make up for the difference in skills of the players. I've been looking at why I suck and after a scrimmage I saw it was the OL, its gets dominated by my DL (which isn't brilliant), so that's where I need to improve. 
When you come to play teams of similar skill sets, you will find a much different result. 
But then again, what do I know

Well it's good to be back (after a one season exile in the Elite
) ...
and it's even better to be back with a win. I have to admit I was totally amazed by today's score but it's welcome after a season of getting smashed every week. ...and before anyone asks - No! I did not use MOTY! |
