1.) somewhere between 39 and 70%, depending on the result of the dice role...

2.) No, and there are no plans to use the all stars challenge mechanics, since they are far away from being comptaible with the bot modus operandi

3.) Never ever, we need this penalty.

no good news. one step up, one step back.

So, what are the plans to overcome the bot issue, that creates tankers and screws up whole season schedules?

There is no game when you have no competition. And that`s what bot teams create at the moment: No Competition.

I´m too new to this game. Pls enlighten me:

Who needs the "bot tactics" penalty and why?

If you were really new to the game, you faced a lot of games where bots and their bot tactics were your opps, right? Now imagine, a strong roster team is going bot and goes down the league pyramid...and you are a new manager and get hammered because this bot has the strong players (we do not replace them anymore), has Coaches, has tactics and so on...you would lose by quite a high margin, since you don't have the ressources to counter this strength with your brand new team. This is where bot tactics come in. They create kind of a less diverse strength between your teams.

Imgaine Veterans get "hammered" and frustrated because only rivals have easy bot games during season.

I get the idea of having the "bot tactics" penalty, Pete, but I can't follow the argumentation behind. "Keeping human managed teams alive" seems to be a short thinking strategy, because it simply creates more problems than it solves.

Since scheduled Bot games in leagues opens the door for Tankers, you put yourself into hurry to create the "Tanker penalty". Besides: How does the tanker penalty kicks in? Should we, the users, report one if we think we saw a human manager tanking? I dont think thats the way you want the game, right? You can get rid of that "easily" by creating balanced bot teams that want a Win same as you and me.

However, the "bot tactics" penalty seems to miss the intended target: "Keeping human managers alive" doesnt do youngsters a favor. They dont get challanged in bot leagues, its boring for them. They can't learn and improve. A poll to validate that point would be cool, if you like. Or have a read over this post of an young manager's experience with a bot league in his first season: here

Here is a list of problems created by the "bot tactic" penalty in use as of today:

- Bot Teams lose games on purpose
- Bot Teams are Tankers by example
- Bot Teams create human Tankers
- Tankers lose games on purpose
- Bot games and Tankers create skewness regarding WL ratio in a leagues table
- Bot games create skewness in PD (point difference) ratio in a leagues table
- Bot teams create un-balanced season schedules (2 or 3 bot teams are enough in higher leagues to screw-up someones whole season if he doesnt face the bot teams or even their tankers. Your rival gets the PO spot, you dont. Your rival gets out of relegation spot, you dont)
- Bot games taking away the challanging and competing charackter of this game

Right!

No need to imagine, since the suggestion was to Re-Roster Bot Teams at each season rollover.

Suggested was: If a team goes bot during season keep it as it is until season rollover. The players and coaches get a 1 year deal to finish the season. The Playbook is reset to default. At least get rid of 4-3-4 defense only. For the Depth Chart please adapt the mechanics that are in use for the All-Star-Team.

At the end of each Season, at season Rollover (and as well after bot flush):
Re-Roster each Bot Team to the average Strength of human managed teams of the respective league +- 5%.

An example:

After season rollover (and after bot flush etc.) there are 3 human managed teams in League 2.1 of Region X. These 3 teams have Overall Strength of: 40%, 45% and 50% for instance. The Avg of this leagues Overall Strength of human managed teams is 45%. (this is a simple SQL query, but you know).

Now Re-Roster the 27 bot teams that their Overall Strength is in range of 45% +- 5%.

All re-rostered players (as well as the 3 drafted ones) get an 1 year deal until next season rollover, where all the re-roster mechanics kick in again.

Regarding the limited resources of a new managers team: To build and develop is part of the game. Give them tasks, not free to pass tickets. Although, young managers tend to make use of transfermarket more often, thats legit and good, they will increase strength very fast.

At first glance it seems to be a lot of work. But all the mechanics are there. Its written already. You "just" have to put the puzzle together piece by piece.

This is were the bot tactics creates tremendous skewness (WL ratio wise) in higher leagues and tankers everywhere, as said already.

Lets do this, step by step. You started by keeping the players. Now, dont close the door for further steps into right direction.

Ich meins ja nur gut, Pete, und damit belass ich's dann jetzt auch
