The leopards spanked me... wow!

-6 on turn overs
I gave up 42 points in the 4th quarter

I had three consecutive pick 6's go against me in the 4th quarter.

I think that was a class 5 tornado that hit me... boom!

Congratulations to the Leopards. I have no idea how your playbook passed the karma check?!?

Hi there,

thanks.

I'm toying a bit around with the playbook.
The Karma-Check is deactivated at the moment, that's way everybody gets a thumb-up.

In the friendly engine are some changes done to punish and detect more loopside tactics, but Peter does not reveal, what that means.
Is my playbook loopside today, because I used only SG4 and SG2?

There is a bigger thead in the in dicussion forum I think and it's still a mystery.

regardless, I'm toying around and today it worked obviously, but that might be different next time.

I had a deeper look into the game and first I have to say that for whatever reason the karma calculation is back and I got a big thumb down, as expected.
Second the game was quite equal until 4th quarter.
Do you have some "pass medium" or "pass long" plays in you playbook in case of being behind and time is running shorter and shorter?
Because those plays do have higher turnover rates.
Also what happens is, than the "pass" option does s e l e c t in case of 10+ yards to go a medium or long pass as valid option, including the turnover chances.

Still 8 unbeaten teams in Monarchs (and 8 without a win). This contrasts with Elite where it is 4 unbeaten and 4 without a win.

Will the two new Elite come from the 8?

At present in the Elite the Aliens and Devils are sitting at 2-1, tied with the Dragons. I must say this was unexpected!

Yeah I noticed that they were inactive before they got promoted.

My division seems to be pretty weak in comparison so I;ve changed my goals to making the playoffs

I thought a small roundup of the league could be fun, so I made one.

AC East
Burnaby Bruisers
Returning from the Elite league they are bound to win the Division.
Already 2 games ahead, they will finish the season with an almost perfect record.
Closest upcoming games will be against Louisville Sharks and Sentinels, both not division rivals.
Whether they will get the #1, #2 or #3 spot in the conference will only be known a few days before season final, maybe after season final.
For sure one of the contenders for the conference title.

Trico Pioneers
The Pioneers will fight for a positive season record.
To ensure that, they need to win the winnable games and the close ones.
Closest ones will be against Seasonal Sleepers SC, X T 3 Survivor Villains, Sentinels, Spawn City Killers, Columbus Crusaiders and especially the Marines.
Lots of close games, so a wide spread record is possible.
The have the chance to win some more games.
For the playoffs it looks at the moment a bit slim.

Marines
The Marines might have no fun in the upcoming games.
They lost some games in a big way and it's hard to figure them out.
Crucial games are probably against Lemon Sharks, Columbus Crusaiders (twice), srib_bdx, Spawn City Killers and Trico Pioneers.
But it could happen that the team will get it together and will win all those games easily and does play for a playoff spot.
At the moment I doubt it and do see them at 3rd in the division.

Columbus Crusaiders
Columbus will have to play against a relegation game spot and those relegation games will be for real now that there are at least some teams in 2.1 and 2.2 playing.
So it's better to avoid such a game, otherwise you start playing against a few BOTs next season.
But they need to win the winnable games, against Trick Play & Hail Mary, the Marines (twice), Spawn City Killers and Trico Pioneers.
They are more or less underdogs in almost every game, so much room to improve.
I see tem 4th in the division for now.

AC North
Berinsfield Hornets
The Hornets are on their way to win the division, again.
At the moment there are only 3 games they have to worry about, Paxtang Black Panthers, Leverkusen Leopards and Louisville Sharks.
Those will determine the final record.
At the end they might drop 1 or 2 of those games, but since Louisville has also a similar tough schedule, the Hornets will win the division and the only remaining question will be, which playoff spot they will have this season.
They could get #1 to #3 I think.

Louisville Sharks
They will have a hard time to overcome the Hornets.
Not impossible, the games between them go close, but with games against Burnaby Bruisers, Seasonal Sleepers SC and Berinsfield Hornets as most crucial ones, they might drop too many to leap frog the Hornets for the division title.
They are already 1 game behind and I don't think the Hornets will lose that many games.
But they should finish with a record worth the #5 spot in the playoffs.

Seasonal Sleepers SC
The Sleepers will battle for a .500 record.
But they will have to win games against the other teams aiming for that goal.
Lightsworns, Peterborough Pirates, Trico Pioneers, Cheap Seat Chuggers, Marines and Spawn City Killers to name a few.
There are a lot of team in that area of team strength, so almost every game is crucial.
I see them behind the Sharks and likely out of the playoffs.

Spawn City Killers
The Killers do their thing and sometimes they have good seasons, sometimes bad one.
This season looks again a bit grim.
They can get a .500 record, if they win the crucial games, but honestly I think they will fall short that mark.
Games against Peterborough Pirates, Columbus Crusaiders, Marines, Trico Pioneers and Seasonal Sleepers SC are close and have to be won.
I see them 4th in the division.

AC South
Panteras Assassinas
The Assassinas do have a tough season.
They had already some losses against good teams, that loss against Seasonal Sleepers SC was unexpected.
I see them as division title favorite, but they are right now 2 games behind, so they need to win the big games.
srib_bdx (twice), Stradey Parc Dragons (twice), Newhouse Eagles and Cheap Seat Chuggers are the closest games coming this season.
Especially the division games against the Dragons and the srib_bdx will determine the season standing.
It's not unlikely they will come up short in the division title race.
I see them for now as 1st in the division and because of the record then as #4 in the playoffs.

Stradey Parc Dragons
A nice first season so far.
But don't get too excited.
This could change fast.
Medway Marauders, Cheap Seat Chuggers, Panteras Assassinas (twice), srib_bdx and Columbus Crusaiders will be closer games.
Especially the Assassinas games will be essential to win the division.
I can imagine they can do it, but for now I doubt it and see the 2nd in the division with a playoff spot in reach at #6.

srib_bdx
This team does already play against the relegation game spot.
I'm sure they will win enough games to avoid a direct relegation, but whether they can avoid a relegation game is up to them.
So far have they lost all close games, so what will happen in games against Panteras Assassinas (twice), Adelaide Crows, Marines, Louisville Sharks, Stradey Parc Dragons and X T 3 Survivor Villains?
It's obvious the season is far from over, but it's also clear that they need to win some of those games to survive the season and to stay in the 1.1.
I see them 3rd in the league, likely avoiding the relegation game.

Dark Castle Burgthann
Fell BOT, will relegate.

AC West
Paxtang Black Panthers
The Panthers are beside the Hornets and the Bruisers the 3rd favorite for the conference crown.
They are unbeaten so far, but did not face big challenges so far.
And honestly they don't face many in the future. Berinsfield Hornets is one team, Blood Kings another one. Besides that, only potential upsets against them, so normally they should win this.
Those 2 games will likely set the final record and seating for the playoffs and so far #1 to #3 is all possible.
At the moment they are my favorite to win the conference, but in the playoffs everything is possible.

Cheap Seat Chuggers
Another team for the .500 club.
Stradey Parc Dragons, X T 3 Survivor Villains (twice), Seasonal Sleepers SC, Medway Marauders (twice) and Panteras Assassinas are the closer games.
Especially the division games will be the ones which will have the most impact.
I see them at the moment at 2nd in the division.

Medway Marauders
Medway is right behind the Chuggers and they could leap frog them.
They need of cause to win the games inside the division against them, both ones, and on top better win against Stradey Parc Dragons, Panteras Assassinas, Grand River Snakes and X T 3 Survivor Villains.
I don't think they can do this all, so at the end they will likely have to settle for 3rd place, but outside the relegation games competition.

X T 3 Survivor Villains
So far it did not went well for the Villains.
Winless they need to get the game together if they want to avoid a direct relegation.
As an almost brand new team this is probably to much to ask for.
Best chances are against Cheap Seat Chuggers (twice), Trico Pioneers, Spaceballs, Medway Marauders, srib_bdx and Newhouse Eagles.
I see them winning a few games, but whether this will be enough to avoid direct relegation has to be seen.
With 2 BOTs already in the league, at the moment 2 human control teams will be on those direct relegation spots and the Villains are close to get one.

NC East
Sentinels
The Sentinals are do win the division since a few season regularly and very likely they will win it this season again.
Their biggest problem is normally the playoffs.
Still they need to win some crucial game to secure the division and maybe even to get a better playoff spot than the usual #4.
Newhouse Eagles, Burnaby Bruisers, Trico Pioneers and Adelaide Crows are close ones.
It will be tough for them to get as much wins as needed to get the #3 or even #2 spot, but IF they want to get those wins, well start winning all those games.
I see them winning the division, but still play at #4 in the playoffs.

JF Praetorian
The rest of the division will be looking for a good place outside the relegation game spots.
The Praetorian are in best position to get 2nd place, even if they are at the moment 2 games behind.
But this is only based on my guess regarding played games and upcoming games.
It might happen that Trick Play WILL call trick plays and finish over the Praetorian.
Games as Newhouse Eagles, Palma Suns, Trick Play & Hail Mary (twice), Peterborough Pirates, Adelaide Crows and Lemon Sharks are the close ones and they better win a few of them, best at least the division games.
I think they can get the 2nd place, they might fall to 3rd.

Trick Play & Hail Mary
They are 2 games ahead of the Praetorian and they CAN keep that distance at least a bit if they win the close games.
Columbus Crusaiders, JF Praetorian (twice) and Lemon Sharks are those games and yes they play more games, but they either are very sure losses or sure wins.
Summed up I think they will have a hard time keeping the distance to Praetorian alive and will maybe come up short.
PD might decide the final standing, for playoffs it's regardless.

Lemon Sharks
The Sharks will battle against a relegation spot and a relegation game.
I think they can avoid the direct relegation spot, the relegation game will come.
Concentrate on Marines, Columbus Crusaiders, Trick Play & Hail Mary and JF Praetorian, because those games will determine whether the team has still 2 wins or maybe some more on their record.
I see them finish 4th and playing in a relegation match at the moment.

NC North
Strike Team
A bit unfortunate for my team to get the arguable stronger Elite relegation team into my conference.
Strike Team will cruise through the season and will win, period.
There is no real crucial game ahead, they are heavily favored in all remaining games and will likely finish 16-0, securing the #1 or #2 spot in the playoffs.

Adelaide Crows
It's rebuilding time for the Crows and they don't look that good at the moment.
But many tough games are now played and easier ones might come up.
They should better win against srib_bdx, Palma Suns, Sentinels, JF Praetorian and most essential Newhouse Eagles to boost the record back into .500+ regions.
I think they will secure the 2nd place in the division for now, but this might all come down to season final.
For now they have the best chances to get the #6 playoff spot.

Newhouse Eagles
They won 2 games so far and they need to win some more to stay at their current position.
JF Praetorian, Sentinels, Panteras Assassinas, X T 3 Survivor Villains and Adelaide Crows should be won to get close the needed wins for 2nd place and a playoff spot.
I think they will struggle at some point and will lose some of those games, but I might be wrong.
For now I see them finishing 3rd and missing the playoffs by a win.

Palma Suns
The Suns are in great danger to drop to a direct relegation spot.
They will have a hard tie to avoid a relegation game, but they need to win some games to stay away from the direct relegation spots, which are at the moment 2 spots.
Better start winning against JF Praetorian, Bourbon Street Brawlers, Adelaide Crows and Newhouse Eagles, or at least win a few of them.
At the moment they do look like a 2 to 3 wins team, finishing 4th in the division.

NC South
Blood Kings
The Kings are on track to win the division back.
Crucial are games against Paxtang Black Panthers and Grand River Snakes, that's it.
The rest would be major upsets by the opponents.
I see them winning at least one of the crucial games and securing the division, getting very likely the #3 spot in the playoffs.

Grand River Snakes
The resurrected Kings will very likely spoil a division title repeat.
But not only will the game against the Blood Kings settle the score inside the division, also games against Peterborough Pirates and Medway Marauders will have an influence.
It's highly likely they will get so many wins this season that they will get the #5 playoff spot, but not the division crown.

Spaceballs
They are another team to fight against a relegation game spot.
Games they should focus on are against X T 3 Survivor Villains and Bourbon Street Brawlers.
If they can win 4 games in total they might be save, but at the moment I see only 3 possible wins.
They will finish 3rd in the division.

Coselhense
Fell BOT, will relegate.

NC West
Leverkusen Leopards
My team will win very likely all games, and that's not said lightly.
Most crucial game will be against Berinsfield Hornets, which I see my team as a favorite so far.
I think the Leopards will battle for #1 or #2 spot in the conference and it might come down to PD, where Strike Team is up front for now.

Lightsworns
This team will battle it out against the Pirates for the 2nd place and for a .500 record.
Crucial games are against Seasonal Sleepers SC and Peterborough Pirates.
If they can avoid upsets and win those 2 games, they will likely end up 2nd place and with 7 to 9 wins.

Peterborough Pirates
The Pirates do need to win against Lightsworns as most important game.
But also Grand River Snakes, Seasonal Sleepers SC, Spawn City Killers and JF Praetorian will challenge them for wins and they better win those games.
Looking on those many close games I think they will drop a few and will finish eventually behind Lightworns at 3rd with 7 to 8 wins.

Bourbon Street Brawlers
They will have a hard time avoiding the direct relegation.
They are the underdogs in all games, but in those here they might be able to pull an upset:
Palma Suns and Spaceballs.
It's a long shot and unlikely, but stranger things have happened.
