RZA Elite Gameday 1
The wait is over, the draft is in the books. Gameday 1 of RZA's toughest league will be held tomorrow. It will be very interesting to see, how the teams have dealt with retirements. Some teams might be more vulnerable than normal as they deal with morale and/or TC issues due to bringing in new guys or changing positions to compensate retirements. We will have quite a few brilliant games at gameday 1: As always, Lines by Beckos Games of the week: Landru Athletics 16 Leeds Celtics the losers of last years Conference Finals clash. The line is way too high imo. Landru has to deal with new players at important position. But hey, most teams in Elite have to deal with retirements year in year out. My take: Celtics pull out the upset and win by a FG Stone Mountain Hawks 1 Free Agent Mascots Clash of the teams with talent ratings out of this world (83.5 vs 82.2 but those are from last season). The Mascots are back in Elite and immediately have to take on a true Elite team. Welcome back, Sanco! My take: Hawks by a TD The Notorious Pub Gang -6 San Diego Blitzkrieg Divisional battle which could go a long way in deciding home field in the NC. The Blitz won all 3 games last year, but the final one in the divisional PO was by a meager 3 points. Will the Pub Gang be finally able to pull of the upset? My take: not at the Blitz house! Blitzkrieg by 10 Styrian Bears -1 Flying Ducktales Austrian and if I read correctly even a Styrian derby. The Bears must be insulted by the line. No way should the Ducktales be favorites. My take: I don't see the Ducktales as favorites in this one. But they will keep it close. Bears by 4 points Divisional Games of the week: In Elite league, battle for relegation often begins in week 1. Divisional games can be absolutely pivotal, as there is a premium in getting a win and handing the direct opponent for relegation a loss. Thats why I want to put a few of these into the spotlight, when I get the time to write a short preview. All 4 of this weeks games have really close lines, so they will determine, who will get a headstart in the division races.
