Group 1 looks very tight and surprising, not sure what's going on with the Knights in the league but they're for real in this cup! The Mutineers winning MOTD also proves they're a serious contender.
Group 2 will have a huge game to advance between the Lions and Ducktales next Sunday, it'll also be MOTD which will make it 3 weeks in a row of MOTD for the Fire Cup, very competitive overall! Groups 3 and 4 look like the 2 favorites will advance but we've seen surprises already so nothing's guaranteed. Good luck everyone, except ROMA |

The playoffs for this are going to tie in with the league playoffs quite nicely. Perhaps we should organise for this friendly cup to start at the same time each season?

Becko lines for the 1/4 finals
Lyon 7pts vs Rabaul Ducktales 14pts vs Mutineers Maykop 30pts vs Knights Wilmersdorf 26pts vs Cowboys I expect the games to be closer than this though, The Knights are clearly much better than their rating having created 2 surprises in 3 games already, the Dynamos will have to be careful. The Cowboys are also better than their Becko rating I think and Wilmersdorf surprisingly already lost a game in this competition so it could be closer than expected. This will also be the MOTD, 4th consecutive MOTD for this competition! Ducktales vs Mutineers is another interesting one as the Mutineers have been steadily improving and are now ranked 4th in Fire 1.1 after beating Ajalvir twice and frenchkiss by 31pts they're on fire (pun intended)... The Ducktales are always difficult to play so I expect another interesting game here. Last but not least Lyon will play Rabaul. We've only faced each once in season 20 and Rabaul beat me by 5pts. We might also face each other in the Fire 1.1 Divisional round the day before our Fire Friendly Cup 1/4 final so after playing each other once in 10 seasons we'll play twice in 2 days 
PS: Rabaul asked for our game to be played at noon server time which I accepted so we'll play the first 1/4 final a little earlier than everyone else. Last edited on 2016-09-05 09:01:46 by Meitheisman |

But yeah, looking at those lines, I have a sneaking suspicion that the double-digit games will end up being extremely close, and our boys will be preparing for the offseason by halftime. |

Oh yeah I don't consider friendlies because I just pass on every single down hoping to get as many incompletions as possible because it adds plays to the game and experience to my players... I know I should keep this kind of information to myself as it gives me a tiny edge over the opposition but I'm nice like this, sometimes  Over the course of a season simply passing on every down in friendlies is the equivalent of at least playing an extra friendly game, sometimes two. |
