Giants are somehow 2-0. Gained 417 yards on the Saints and yet managed just 3 FG, our only TD coming on a blocked FG return. Defence played well though, so we might be on to something this year - not saying what in case I doom our season.

*cough* I love PFF, but they're WAY ahead of themselves there. LOL

His QBR is 17th ... and he's played not exactly juggernaut defenses in the Browns & Bears. Granted the drops would've pushed him higher, but at the same time the loopy totals Matthews has put up on the ones he DID catch are part of that too, putting a track star out there at WR doesn't mean you should get to pick JUST the numbers that serve argument X.

Top 5 in QBR after two weeks ... Ryan, Bradford, Rivers, Garoppolo, Palmer.

If I had to pick the best QB so far, I'd have to agree on "Matty Ice" Ryan - especially where the Atlanta offense is having to play with a mindset of "We have to score 40, because our D will give up at least 5 scores"

Wentz does lead all rookies though: Wentz 94.1 QBR, Prescott 83.1, Siemian 74.4 ... (not counting Brissett where he's only got ~15 snaps played, though he's at 100.2 so far)

Wentz does look impressive so far, but yeah, the bears and browns Ds arent exactly world beaters... and Jim Schwartz does a great job with Phillies D.

to lose vs. a rookie QB and HC at soldier field is really embarrassing for the bears, who should be further ahead in their rebuilding project under Fox by now than the eagles

Year 2 is usually the turn around year for Fox too. In the 1st half Monday night, Wentz was averaging about 5 yards per pass. I thought the defense was performing decently before the injuries started to pile up.

Not that he would need to prove it, but Belichick is just head and shoulders above anyone else.

What an impressive start of the season, now down to the 3rd string QB.

If that man would just be a little more likable , I would totally admire that guy

Watch A Football Life with him if you can. There's a great scene where he explains that he doesn't know how to change the time of the clock in his car which makes him look more like a very likable grandpa than anything else

yes, they improved on defense, but without Gase game planning and play calling the O just seems overmatched in every way - edge protection sucks, they dont run consistently and not enough, no quick, easy reads like Gase designed for Cutler. they only thing that works are the long jump balls to Jeffery. its just frustrating, every time the bears make progress on one side of the ball, it gets worse on the other... god I miss Gase, Loggains is just way in over his head it seems.

3rd string QB, missing BOTH starting tackles (Solder, Vollmer), top HB (Lewis), top TE (Gronk was out there as a decoy, he still is banged up), and top MLB (Hightower).

Every team has key injuries/suspensions to deal with, it's the NFL ... but Belichick, Patricia (I fear he's gone soon to a HC job somewhere), Daniels and Scarnecchia are damn impressive with what they seem to be able to overcome.

Local news here was shocked ... Belichick actually smiled during the press conference. It was kind of creepy ... like the Emperor in Star Wars smiling.

Oh wait ... someone beat me to that thought:
