So I'm working from my sister's apartment today and it says "Nice, this is IPv6 - Congrats!" but I cannot see any difference, is IPv6 supposed to improve something in the background we can't see or is it something I should be able to notice?

Sorry for being completely clueless, I have no idea what I'm talking about but I'm curious

I asked my ISP about IPv6 and this is the reply I received.

We would like to inform you that we as your service provider does not allow the IPV6 feature as it is used for gaming purposes and we do only provide the IPV4.

From what I read in your IPv6 page this seems like BS.

Haha, this is probably the most idiotic response to this I have ever seen.

Are you sure they did not fool you? From a pro persepctive I see NO relation between gming and type of ip addresses.

What puzzles me is that sometimes I get the Boo message and sometimes the Ok message.

That is OK. By rule devices try to establish IPv6 first, and if this fails they try old IPv4. If, as example, your provider is doing some maintenance in his IPv6 parts, your browser will use the fallback to IPv4 and remember it for a small amount of time.

No worries
