From Season 24 on Flexbone will be executed like Wishbone, and is kept here for compatibility of playbooks only!

So this just means Flexbone is going away any will never becoming back
presumably?

Did anyone use Flexbone much? I used it only when the other team consistently played extreme defenses against it. Then I'd do the opposite.

I used it at almost the same rate as I did all other formations except SG2 and SG4.

I used it a lot, between 1/5 and 1/4 of the time.

I wasn't being abused, something to do with the formations being too similar and it causing problems in the engine, it resulted in different plays sometimes being called when flexbone was selected in the playbook. In the "bugs" section there's an "incorrect calls in a friendly" thread where Pete says what the problem was.

I was using it fairly compared to other formations. Now I wonder if there will be an impact in the karma.

Is it advisable to remove this formation from our playbooks? Apart from the fact that it will no longer become a play option but more to do with the engine itself.

I will do that in the database, at the moment I know how to deal with imports containing this formation
