No future? Some of us are just trying to survive the present. A player with 40+ strength and intelligence is useful to me.

The player was a 19 year old, cut from a team due to low caps. He will not have been trained in other skills, so would not have any real use now.

If 43 strength was his main physical skill, then I have to assume his speed was capped lower. This means his decent Int has little use as the high Int positions tend to need speed (QB, LB, DB). With 43 strength he could be developed as an OL, but that would take time and he would never be very good. Once a team has a full size YA they should be ensuring a steady production line of OL from there - all with higher strength than 43.

This player would have been no use to you now, and might have been an ok backup in 1.1 after 4-5 seasons of skill training. Nothing more.

Yes, what is acceptable depends upon where you are in the league. Since going to the Elite for the first time a few seasons ago I have increased my requirements for players STR and SPD as I know that you need the best to compete there. Lower down the less able players can still make a difference for you.

Of course...

But a Youth Pull aged 19, capped at 43 strength, probably capped at under 40 speed, and without any other skill development (he was a 2* player) is not worth investing in.... he needs 4-5 seasons of training before he will see the field - probably as an OL, and in the meantime, a team would be better off looking for better prospects to fill the YA with.

If he was available as a FA for free then maybe he could be picked up and developed to add a bit of backup. But to spend money on? Nope.

I know you're right. I'm in Admirals 2.x. It might take another 4 or 5 seasons just to establish a position in 1.1. Where you are and where I am is night and day or 83 points, your margin of victory vs my team in last season's super cup match. .

The player was CUT, so he is now part of the free agent pool, and can't be hired until he comes up on the transfer market in the future.
Nobody except Peter can tough him right now.

Not anymore Jack. Pete added a new feature last season. If you go to your team's Roster History you can put the players you fired on the TM yourself. The money won't go to your team and will be out of the game but the player can join a new team.

I've just turned this guy into a free agent for example, a youth I fired a week or so ago.
