Welcome back to the GOTW show and we are rolling into week 6 with a look at a clash between two rookies. It looks like this might be the only chance these teams will be able to prevent the dreaded 0-16 season so enough to play for!

First up is Randolph_Giebler, manager of the Hedgehogs Oberammergau who shows that despite being a rookie is a very eloquent person to talk to the media.

Question 1.
You are spending a lot of money on coaches but not on players. Some fans have complained in radio phone-ins that they think you have it the wrong way around. Can you comment on this?

It has been only one season since my staff members and I took over the team's management and we are still trying to find the best basis to provide an environment of development. Establishing the right coaching politics is the first step to achieve the vision we have with this great team. When this is ensured, we will fully concentrate on promoting players. I humbly ask for the fans' patience as I see great potential for the future of this team!

Question 2.
This game might be the only one you can realistically expect to win. How important does this make this game for you? Would you use MOTY for it?

As mentioned above we are still in a very early stage of developping our team. We are glad and proud to be part of Thunder 1.1 already, but we know we still need more time to compete. Either we win or lose, the game will be one step on a long way so we won't take it too serious.

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

We completely trust our defense to be able to stop the enemy. But we still have problems in managing a game with our offense, especially speaking of the running game. In my opinion special teams and big plays will decide the outcome of this game.

We are looking forward to playing the game and salute Davecool and the Marion Knuckleheads with all our respect!

We met up today for a very early coffee with Davecool. Here's what he had to say:

Question 1.
Although you've been buying players your wage bill is very low. Is this part of a delibarate sustainable 'spend low, grow slow' strategy and is relegation an acceptable part of that plan?

I am still really new to RZA so I am still getting a feel for the team so I am trying to acquire talent as much as possible. My promotion to this level came as a total surprise and a huge adjustment in talent level. I do not want to relegate as I want to be the best. I believe that I still have time to avoid relegation as I keep adding talent to my roster.

Question 2.
This game might be the only one you can realistically expect to win. How important does this make this game for you? Would you use MOTY for it?

I will do whatever I can to win this game as it absolutely is a must-win game for the Knuckleheads.

Question 3.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game?

The deciding factor for the Knuckleheads will be the offensive strategy. It appears that the other team has not exhibited much offense. Our defense will play well. We just need to score points.

EDITORIAL NOTE:

It's great to be able to feature two rookies and for both of them to answer all the questions as they did. Thanks to both of them

And good luck to both of them in the midst of this difficult season for them.
