Game I.D. 100461784 Enough from me said. I do not understand the interrest on tanking a supercup game. First punting on every down is bad for the XP of your players. Second loosing in SC is bad on your ticket incomes for any kind of game. That does not make any sense. But at least it is not taking the control of a bot team to be sure to lose against it. Oh wait... |

I can understand the lack of interest in Supercup when you do not have the level to go in playoffs anyway. I always find this kind of competition pointless and it's overload game's calendar for nothing.
But at least put the standard playbook or your players who need xp... |

Oh wait... EXP, the reason is EXP. A punt takes much less time than a "normal" run or pass play so you end up packing more plays in 60 minutes and your players gain more EXP. |

It depends how you set up your depth chart. If you want to play offensive players on defense you can since you don't care about losing. You also get a ridiculously high number of special teams plays where you can play whoever you want as well.

It's not just this game. He's been tanking every single match this season and by the looks of it most of last season to at best.

I am not sure this is correct. Only a dozen of Lions players got arround 66 plays. That is normal amount of plays for a first string player. It would be necessarly to dih a bit more, bit I still think a normal brings more XP than punting all day long. |

The real question is : why do you play RZA if you setup your team to be humiliated in public ?
You can surely find some better place to spend your internet time. If there is a strategy behind it, I cannot imagine how it could generate any positive result for the team or for the understanding of game mechanics. |

The game in question here generated 284 lines in the play by play. For comparison my normal SuperCup game from yesterday only generated 194 lines... Lines aren't exactly plays as you'll get 2 entries for an interception for example and I can't be bothered counting individual plays but I'm certain that he got more plays because of this strategy. Maybe a sensible addition to the scheduled tanking penalties could be:
- players got no experience from a 'tanked' game - players' morale drops by much more than present, I'd actually like to see it drop to 0% immediately if a team hits the level which triggers the tanking penalties And thinking a bit deeper... maybe a player with 0 morale due to tanking might ask to leave the team? Also, maybe a player with 0 morale might get less benefit from training - less motivation? Last edited on 2017-01-27 13:14:00 by JonnyP |
