What are the important skills for each position? I found this in a thread a while back and have been using it. However i have been seeing some threads talk about WR having INTEL as more important now. So would this still be considered a good guide?

I actually value intel and tw the highest for all positions. intel being better decision making and tw for training.

That is basically my list from my guide.

Jack6s Guide

There are some tendencies which might change the values a bit, but right now there is no real evidence which does make this a bad list.

MORE INT and MORE TW (and more on almost every physical skill) is always a good thing.

If you like to put you smart players prio 1 on WR or better on QB or LB is up to you. So far, when I have to make a decision to put a fast and strong smart guy on a position in my YA and I only have that single guy, he ends up as QB or LB and the other not so smart guys end up WR, TE or something else.

You do not have any FB.
You do not have any CB.
(No G, no KR but you have a K and a P.)

Your RB can be Just strong and can also be Just fast

Your TE can be Just strong and can also be Just fast

This is taken out of context from my guide.
It's a rough guideline for the INITIAL ROSTER and how to sort the players from it into a bit more usefull positions.

What if you just have a kick returner. would the most important PT be speed? I have one that is 48.3 speed 38.2 strength 38.3 Pos 16.6 Vis 17.1 car 15 and TW 33

and what about a gunner what should his PT and NPT look like?

For Kick Returners, you want a player built like RB or FB. That means that he will be strong, really fast, agile and have high carrying, positioning, and vision. Pure speed is nice, but it doesn't matter if the player can't break tackles or maneuver.

For Gunners and STT, you will want a strong. really fast and agile player that's a good/great tackler. These can be any players from your defense. Once you have some quality depth, you can use backups, but until you do, your fastest starters on defense will likely fill these positions.

I can only repeat, read my guide.
It does help alot in all those aspects.
If something is missing or not clear, ask me for clerification.
I'm always happy to improve the guide.

I can only second this. If you read the guide from beginning to end you should have answered most questions you'll ever have.

Interpreting the importance and level of skills for your own squad is entirely up to you and one of the more fun things in RZA I find.

Yes, this guide really helped finding a way into the game. But when I sorted out my initial rooster following those hints, I was also missing the CB. Or did I just oversee something?
