What's that supposed to mean, punk A realistic draft for Browns means taking a QB, not worthy of the #1 status, first and then trading up to like 6th to take a blue chip player there, instead of going with BPA both 1st and 12th - or even trading down from 1st to like 5th and get a couple more picks. They can use the talent, they have the cap room and they, imo, have a decent organization. There's so few things that has to go their way and they can become a in-the-hunt-team. [The Browns] have a decent organization. Haha, good one bro! I predict the Browns to draft Watson who will then turn out to be a huge bust, then they will fire the HC and the next HC will cut Watson and try to build his own franchise QB, who will also be a bust, then the HC gets fired again and so on... right now this looks quite plausible but it's so hard to guess what might happen in the draft before free agency has even started and none of the QBs got moved yet.
the DePodesta-Regime in Cleveland looks smarter then previous front offices and they have been very patient so far and went for value over QB-gambles at the top of the draft a year ago too. Myles Garrett has to be a lock at #1 . I wonder what SF does at QB - after all Shanahan has to have a plan since he took that job, with a rookie GM, no OC and under a lot of pressure right away, so he needs instant improvement. I dont know if Shanahan really wants to take a QB #2 this year and tie his fate to that gamble... I think they will sign a bridge guy in FA (Cousins, Taylor maybe) and go BPA at the top of the draft if they cannot trade back, that might be Allen... |

sorry for coming back to the Bears no one cares about of course, but if they go all in on a QB now in the most likely final season of Fox, whos not exactly known as a QB whisperer and then screw their young GM into the next coaching search with the ballast of that shortsighted decision under center like it was with Cutler since that blockbuster-trade, then the Bears might pretty soon become the new Browns

Bears do need to be careful they don't get obsessed with the QB hunt. I think they've got a much better young team than last seasons record suggests, if they keep building they could be excellent, if they waste all their top picks like the Browns have done in the past though then yeah they'll waste it, could go either way from here!

I fully agree and I think they should stick to Fox and Fangios strengths and draft more talent for them to develop in a D-heavy class

Strong defence is what always comes to my mind when i think of the Bears, in the mid 80's i was a child and my dad was first getting me into the game, i'll always remember That Bears team, especially being raised a Packer!
