It doesn't matter how much money you spend regarding my idea. One Pete said no to salary cap, I am sure most would of preferred there to be one and it would reflect what the NFL actually does to keep the playing field fair.
The idea of allowing more long term contracts gives players with out hoards of money to be able to lock up key players at affordable rates to build a team that can compete against those with the hoards and yes if you lock up a player for a long term, with it should come a no drop or sell until he is in the last 2 years of his contract. So if you lock him up for 5 years, 3 of them you would have to live with him regardless of how good or bad he plays. Now to those who argue it will only allow the rich to get richer and to be able to spend more on their players. THEY ALREADY ARE. They can hire anyone bid anything, spend anything, get it. They will win every time, unless you can put together a great team on a much smaller budget. Allowing you the chance to lock up more key players at affordable rates helps you be able to accomplish your task of creating that great team. That is it in a nutshell. |

Within HR Department, if you go to HR-Settings, it will give you an estimate of how much you could save. This is not visible unless you first have HR department enabled. |

I'm not sure if I'm considered a top team or not but I don't use HR. Having to deal with contracts every season sounds very tedious to me so I'm paying my players a bit more to avoid having to do it. I've just switched to it, previously felt the same as you, but it's not that bad really. Cheesehead has a spreadsheet that you can use to figure out the amounts. I say go for it. |

Good point Didn't realise that. How could it. It does not know about the managers negotiation skills. This is why you have the salary matrix in the top 100 salaries... |
