I think it was reported last night that a 2nd round pick was going the other way. I thought at the time it seemed strange that everyone had reported the Saints in advance were after a first round pick to then give up an early second in return so I assume it was just misreported.

That is what I'm thinking too, I'm 100% sure that he has some sort of master plan he is following, but I just can't tell what this plan is.

He will probably pull another weird move in the next few days/weeks, so I guess it would be the best if I just stopped to worry about the current situation.

The master plan is quite obvious to me, he's added a Young talented deep threat with blazing speed to a team stacked with offensive weapons but perhaps lacking a field stretcher to a Super Bowl winning offense in the last few years of a HOF QB career.

he's also upgraded the secondary, added a talented but inconsistent pass rusher and saved money on a good second tight end to add to the offense which welcomes back the best mismatch weapon in the NFL yet still won the SB without this season in Gronk.

Every draft pick is a risk, there is less risk taking someone who's played a couple of years in the NFL.

I have often thought draft picks are over priced compared with some of the players you can pick up in trades cheaply. Rookies may cost less salary cap wise but the Pats have also played the cap well, that isn't a concern for them imo.

I don't think Pats fans need to worry at all, it's probably the main reason the rest of us dislike you so much

Exactly, I am a Niners fan, we face this year with Hoyer backed up by Barkley, Pats fans are worried that their stacked roster currently isn't adding a first round pick lol

Don't be so greedy, 9ers.

They could always bring in Robert Griffen or Brock Osweiller as well....

Yuck! I really hope the 49ers realize they're rebuilding. There's no reason to add stopgaps.

Alshon Jeffery out of the door and and Mike Glennon in at QB throwing to.....until he gets benched anyway.

yeah, boy, this season will be hard to watch but if it took the Glennoning to give the FO enough of an excuse to not reach for a QB this year or go all in on a Garoppolo, I guess I welcome the Glennon Cannon.

and considering the guarantees its basically a one-year-starter deal, after that they could get rid of him when we get our future starter (along with a new HC I guess) next offseason.

Sad to see Cutler leave to be honest, I will always believe that he never got a fair shake in Chicago and I would not have minded keeping him until we find our next guy. but media and fans wanted him out years ago, so...

Alshon just wanted out of Chicago apparently, not a good sign... will be huge for Wentz.

Its the bears browns and Niners so far next year for Dunauld and Rosen. I like the Rosen kid despite the negative publicity he's got. He's a liberal rich kid, he may not need to toe the party line media wise or play the same games as others. He can play ball though and I can see him in scarlet and gold and the city embracing him.

We probably stink, get the first overall and Durnauld and be treated to 15 years of bland interviews and success.....god I so don't wanna be like the Pats.....
