Since beginning of the season I am able to sell players who announced retirement plans.
If this is a wanted behavior, we may need a warning for bidders on these players, that they will retire after this season, as I have assumed until today, that every player on the TM will play at least until the end of the coming season |

I don't understand the concerns. What is the issue?

Before we could not sell retiring players after they announced their retirements, I have not tried pressing it but there is now a "sell" button on retiring player's page.
This might be a concern for buyers as up until today when buying a player you were 100% sure of being able to use him this season and next season. |

Now you can buy retirees as well. And you have to deal with the chance of him leaving your team after one season. In my opinion...managers who spend money on such guys in that age know it won't last for long. Now the chance to lose him at end of the season you bought him, is there. IMO this is a great challenge.

Interesting
I personally think that it would be good to let potential buyers know of the change as this is a new thing and some managers might not be aware of it yet. |

Not sure why someone would intentionally buy a retiring player, since it would take them most of the season to gain team chemistry.

And I don't understand why this change was not announced cause this could cause a serious fight between a seller and a buyer of a player

@meitheisman: We wrote a news, adn added to the changelog. Implications left and right of such changes are part of the gameplay. So no, I do not feel responsible for any further notices.
On top, if such a guy offered to not retire, for additional money, this offer is not affected by the transfer. Maybe this ads another dimension to the whole thing. And no, you cannot see these details in the scout report or at the players detail page. I love it Last edited on 2017-03-13 14:18:49 by pete |

Sorry I don't find anything mentioned in the change log that retirees could now be sold and even worse imo,in the blog, is written that a manager needs to avoid retirement by accepting the offer in order to sell his player: blog wrote:
Getting rid of retiring players Once a player announced his retirement, the manager cannot fire him or cancel his contract, once the season kicked off. This means, managers have to make their decision until the seasons first Saturday morning (midnight server time). If the player offers to not retire for money, and the manager has taken his chance to avoid the retiring of a player, he is technically no retiree anymore, and can be fired, sold/ etc. |
