I doubt this is a bug, probably more my getting something wrong, but here it is!
This game. I have my playbook set to kick a FG in the last 30 seconds of the 2nd quarter inside my opponents 35-yd line. Tonight I had 3rd-1 at my opponents 26-yd line, 0:28 on the clock...and a run was called. We picked up the first down but time expired - and considering he'd already missed a 22-yarder there's no guarantee my kicker would have added 3 points anyway (piling up 494 yards and winning just 10-0 was just one of those weird games). Just want to understand..? |

No, its my 4th line in my playbook to kick the FG there, and the three above it are OT, 4th quarter, 4th quarter.

At 00:30 it chooses a running play. At anything less than 30 seconds its the FG - game log states 00:28 on that play. So is the time on the game log wrong? Or did it run the play at the 00:30 mark or just before? |

The runplay was started at 00:28. So if you chose "run when less than 30 secs"...it runs. I don't understand the problem, it seems

I believe he is saying the run play is lower in his playbook. So if the FG was not called, the next play down in the book was to run. He is wondering if the 00:28 shown in the game log was when the play was hiked rather than when the play was called. Maybe the play was called at 00:34, but then hiked at 00:28?

@Pete - Rock has summed it up. At anything less than 30 seconds on the clock it should have kicked the FG. At 30 seconds or more it was a run play. The clock said 00:28 and then the description of the play.
